I think the current sub forums are good as they are. Always have been. Don't see a need for change.

I say leave as-is. Reviews and everything will go in the right part accordingly. Either in the main review forum, or in here under a title. Or even stickies?

You say you can't do anything about that, but you're also wanting to take suggestions and make changes... so why can't you just get the ball rolling on getting changes made towards those requirements?

Or just be creative about it. It's pretty common sense: why would you bump up a thread with useless info to the front page by adding an additional reply - and said reply would just be an IBTL style reply too! Amazing example from a mod. Loading up the front page of a forum and seeing about 1/4 of the threads on there locked doesn't really fit in the definition of being uncluttered.

And what the heck happened to the original SE pic of the day thread? That was a goldmine and all in all, real neat to see the progress been made ever since the earlier cameraphones.

This is a Suggestion Forum. This is not "Let's attack the new Moderator Forum."

Howard has changed his policy on discussion of unlocking, which is now reflected in the HoFo Rules. We now have a subforum to discuss these issues. No soliciting however, as that is still against the rules.

A rumors and concepts sub-forum would be nice. it can give those auto-poster thingies something to post in, yet it would still be cool to check out concepts every once in a while...

I think this is beyond your reach, but I don't know if Howard has thinking about adding "Thanks" button. It's a good way to avoid spam messages.
And also an option to close a topic if we think it's resolved. Only the ones we started of course.
And before someone of you say "you want to be like... or like... (doing reference to other very-well knew forums), I want to say that these are good features, specially "thanks" button.

I like the addition of "not here to bust anyones chops", and "not here to go on some power trip"..

I hate it when OPS and MOD's think they are god.

This version of vBulletin does not support the "Thanks" buttons. (3.0.x). If/when we ever upgrade to vBulletin 3.6.x, it should come with more options. Not sure how Howard is going to implement them though.

About closing threads. We don't close any threads unless they are Spam Messages, redundant messages, messages posted in the wrong forum, messages that contain flaming, etc.

If you see a SPAM message just report it. Someone will be along to take care of it. If not me, then one of the SuperMods.
