    Unlocking a 616

    Hello,
    I have a T-616 that I got when I was an AT&T customer. No longer using its services but would like to be able to use the phone with other operators.
    How can I unlock it? I have been reading about a spacial cable that would allow for doing that. Anyone has experience with it?

    Such an Old phone to unlock, i dont know if you google out there was SETOOLS? i think a cracked version which able you to unlock these old phones for free.

    Old phone indeed. Another popular method is the terminator dongle which I bought from eBay. I doubt that you'll find them these days.

    Whatever method you use, you'll need special cable (terminator) or so-called "T28 cable" used only for unlocking.
