I already took apart millions of phones and never had a problem, not even a hesitation. BUT, This phone scares me... I'm afraid to break something...

I got incontact with Mitsubishi Electric in Japan...
I spoke with a Tech and he told me. Let me see what I can do.
Best answer I got so far.

I explained everything to him and it looked like he may help me out.
I spoke with him on Friday Night (Japan Time). Thats if he really wants too help.

So far no reply.
Well, It took Tmo about 2 to 3 days to email me code to unlock my Tmo Shadow. So I cant expect a reply in just one day (not counting Weekends)...


Now, the Docomo Phones (Mitsu) are locked at the factory but they CAN be unlocked (Network Upgrades). this is what he told me. Except the Keys are stored with limmited access (Didnt say who has the access). So its not like you can call and get it in 5 min. This is probebly why no one wants to go thrue the hastle of unlocking and they do want there technology to remain in Japan.
He also told me that there is an exception to this. But he didnt tell me what it is... Probebly, because all calls are recorded.

All I can say, I was honest with him. So if I do get the KEY.
I may have found the exception to the restriction.

Will keep you posted on the result.

To enter Monitor Mode: C+379
Press Down arrow to browse page 2
Press Down arrow again to browse page 3
Press Up Arrow to see Monitor Mode info during a call

To enter secret menu: C+987
press Right Arrow or OK to set the mode
Press Down Arrow to see page 2

To get Mobile Version info: C+597

To switch between Phase1 and Phase2 mode: C+499

To instantly turn off the mobile: C+999

To turn on/off warmstart mode: C+179

To enter Minuet mode: C+377

have you guys tried using a PSS SIM/ Hyper sim to unlock?
Sharp 904SH 920SH has been unlocked using this.
Anyone wants to give it a try?
i don't have any Docomo phones in hand. otherwise, i would definitely try it.

I have the pss sim aka hyper sim in my 904sh, so far gprs is not working because its lock , I heard it works on 920sh, but only for call. no camera and no mms. you guys might want to play with a mod pss sim in a docomo phone

you need the sharp v3 version for 904sh, 705sh and 705px

this is going off topic, sorry, but for the less technically inclined people in this forum, would buying a hyper sim (i.e. http://tw.f3.page.bid.yahoo.com/tw/auction/c33634450) make the 904sh operable in North America or would additional software/hardware modification be required? (can't quite make sense of Google's cryptic translation) I'm going to Toyama in less than a month and thought about buying a second hand phone I could use when I'm back in the States.

if your sim works on 903sh, it will on 904sh with pss sim

I never had a 903sh, but my tmobile sim seems to work without problems in 703shf and 802sh. I was only aware of some issues with 903t not accepting certain sim cards.

I think it's just the c button and then the numbers.
