yes. No more foma card needed... I have the IMSI from it. that was the hardest part. Thank you for posting that number.

Yes i did get the programmer and the cards. So i should be all set when it gets here.

I only programmed the IMSI from the Foma card. because i do not need FOMA service so the FOMA Ki is not needed.
But I did add the US Tmo IMSI and Ki and other info to it.

So it should see the Foma IMSI at boot and then look for service and that will be Tmo. I hope it will work. I dont see why it will not.

Someone's being a real tease. The P905i's been unlocked. Now whether it's by the method you're trying or by hardware unlock I don't know because the owner refuses to tell. But the successful call to 10086 proves it's not a DoCoMo card because only China Mobile users are supposed to be able to connect to it.

Wow, in the first place that are GREAT news!
First I thought, it's most likely the method wolvorine is trying here. But on the other hand, if the owner refuses to tell, then it kind of should be a hardware unlock. Otherwise he wouldn't have any advantage to keep that as a secret, would he? He can't expect to earn much money from the SIM faking method, I guess...

That's definitely right! I can confirm it would not working with a DoCoMo card, I just tried it on my P903i!

Let's just hope it was done by faking the SIM. And let's hope that Mitsubishi phones can be unlocked that way too, not only Panasonic...

Anyway, that's definitely the BEST news in a long, long time!

Damn thats awesome news. There are 2 possibilities now, one is that it is a real hardware unlock such that any sim card can be used with it; the other is wolverine's method, where instead of using T-mobile in the second sector they use China mobile in the second sector, thus enabling then to dial 10086.

I personally think it's more likely to be a hardware unlock since dantewei from that forum said that the unlocker's using China mobile sim card..

Anyway, like what squeenix said, its really a piece of good news!

Did you guys realise that the guy on the Chinese forum who unlocked the P905i has a Japanese keyboard on his PC? That doesn't have to mean much, but I just wonder if he might be speaking Japanese... Then I could try to contact him.

I'm hoping it's a full hardware unlock. A 3-inch VGA+ screen would be much better to browse the web (which can't be done with the PSS SIM) on than the 2.4 inch QVGA screen I have on my Toshiba right now.

    @wolvorine
I'm a bit confused what hardware you are using exactly now? I mean which reader/writer? And you are now waiting for your Silver Cards (=Silver Wafer? ) which you ordered from http://www.dvbdirect.com , right?
I'm asking because I wanna try it out myself as soon as I return to my homecountry the end of next month.
Well, and I am actually positive that you have a working D905i by then!

    @yangj08
But you can access the internet with the Silver Card Hack, right? I mean, it worked for the iPhone?!

Haha, ya, how stupid am I?
I can't believe I forgot that we don't have access to the internet settings... You are absolutely right...

But I'm positive that we might be able to find a solution for that problem too, in the future.

Eh... Didn't the DoCoMo phones have open i-mode settings menus? If that's so you could in theory have a connection.

If what I said is wrong, please correct me.

[EDIT]And the post is in the 877-card area, which makes me believe that it's just the same kind of thing as all the other SIM-"unlocks".[\EDIT]

Bunning those Japanese handsets in Europe from 2005.

Yes, that's right, it has a open i-mode settings menu.
Some users think that won't work with non-DoCoMo settings, though.

I personally believe it might work, nobody tested that yet.
It also might be, that it only works with overseas i-mode services.

But there are no definite answers for this question yet.

Actually, it could be stuck there because the 877-card area on that forum's become the "post-Vodafone" area in general (the Toshiba and Panasonic forums are tucked out of the way, posting it in the 877-card area would get the most attention). After all, that's also where the 910T hardware unlock was publicized (and not in the Toshiba forum).

    EDIT- And you were right.

    "图片是我发的,我现在在用呢,只不过不能切换基站,估计P905I的IMSI输出次序同此前的904SH 还有IPHONE都不一样,但是应该不难破解.
    我用的卡不是漫游,是用877写的,O号位置写的是08091010,9号位置写的是自己的IMSI.但是 905不能自己找信号,需要插到别的手机上才行,这个状态就是TMSI"

"The pictures are mine, I'm using it right now, but it won't change base stations, I'm guessing this is because the P905i needs the IMSIs given to it in an order different than for the 904SH or the iPhone, but this shouldn't be too hard to figure out. It's my card, I'm not roaming, I made an 877 card, I put 08091010 in the 0 space and my own IMSI in the 9 space. But, the 905 can't find signal on its own, the card has to be inserted into another phone first to work, this is TMSI status."

And I'm guessing this is why the owner was sitting on the news at first. You need another phone to make it work (and who knows what "base station" means- doing this every time you move to another tower would be incredibly annoying).

And that's one more hurdle to overcome.

    Talking

Actually, What i'm told you can change the Internet Settings. I do have this menu on my phone. so I assume it may work.

Also the Silver Wafers are Simcards what have not been cut out yet. It has the same size as a credit card. It becomes a SIM after you cut it out.

Here is what I just purchased:
    http://www.dvbdirect.com/product_inf...products_id=87 (ordered 6)

    http://www.dvbdirect.com/product_inf...roducts_id=102 (ordered 1)

Also I just reconfigured the Silver cards HEX files, to make sure there are no errors. So not All I need to do is program them HEX files into the card... and test. If i do need another phone, I have like 4 just collecting dust... No problem here.

Also, I'm going to order a PSS SIM (or that ever its called) and bump the info from it into a HEX file and just change the IMSI number. Plus If i have it I can clone it by just getting the parts and making my own if I have to. I just hope I can dump the data from the cards chip.

    EDIT:
All the phones are locked to is the Network (IMSI), so it cant be that hard to trick it. Unless they are locked to the card too. so I can always change the ICCID number too. All I want now is the phone to recognize my Silver SIM and work. Then I will play with it more, inorder to get it to register with my network...

I'm 99,9% sure that the phone is only locked to the network. So actually it's a Netlock and not a Simlock we are talking about all the time.
The other day I tried to put my P903i's FOMA SIM into my old F902i and it worked just perfect!
