Ok, just to help you all out...

Download the file i posted a link to before... UIM.rar

Now there are 2 files there. (Formatted for the SilverCard)

    EEPROM.hex: Holds IMSI numbers
FLASH.hex: Main SIM soft aswell as Ki, PIN and PUK codes.

Here is a link to pictures and where i got some of the info.
    http://www.simclone.com/clone.en.html

If anyone has questions, Please post...
Now, I cant verify that this works. Because the SIM's Ki I used was pre-activated so I cant activate it. But I do get the same message.

    UPDATE:
Here is what I checked so far:

GPS: I can use it but can't load map (no GPRS, MAP data is on Docomo Server)

iMode: Opens then tells me unable to retrieve channel information (No GPRS)

Phone is able to see and connect to 3G and GSM networks. (but, Ki is inactive)

All Options in phone are Available. But cant use because of no internet connection. So i assume that its working but due to the Inactive Ki its not getting a working signal. so Cant call or use any internet functions.

Also, I have an Icon on the screen that tells me UIM is FULL. (maybe DOCOMO UIM's have special storage in there UIM's or its just used up by the mod or Silver card is just to small) Will keep playing with it and see if I can get that to work too...

Phonebook works. I can store numbers and move them between the phone and Sim...

1Seg does not work But starts. tells me UIM is not registered. Maybe because the Ki is inactive.

All iAppli start now, but the ones that require internet just tell me no connection.

When I try to call, phone tells me Out of Service Area. I assume with a Active Ki it will work.

Post other questions, If i missed something.

Don't worry, it is legal. First, you are in the US. As far es I know removing SIM locks is legal there. Second, you anyway don't remove the lock or modify anything in the phone. So yes, I'm pretty sure it is legal!

I could provide you a v1 Vodafone Germany SIM. But you'll have to wait until the end of the month until I can send it to you... I guess someone else might have a faster solution.

If you had a SIM card reader, I'm sure you could scan in the card and email him that file?

Unfortunately I don't have a SIM card reader (yet) and it takes until the end of the month until I'm back in Germany (where I have the Vodafone SIMs...).

It's just an option I can give you, if you don't get a working Ki by the end of this month...

Pay??? This is here for everyone. I'm just learning about this as everyone here... There is no money involved here. I'm not selling it. But sharing what i found.

For now. I will start making one. and will post it as soon as its finished.
I will try to add pics and make is as tech as posible. for both NEW and Experienced users. just to make it easier.

I will be getting a PSS SIM soon, and I will try to copy it.
I already know the model of the chips and I can get them very cheap...

So All I need now is to get the Flash out of it. then I can mod it anyway I want. I will call it DSS SIM (just kidding)

Please dont spend money on phones just yet. there is still a lot of work to be done. I want to try it with the users that have Docomo phones already (or any other locked phone) if you can provide me with the IMSI of the carrier...
I already have FOMA and SoftBank IMSI's.

I want the phone to call and recieve first before I think about making it available to public as a complete product. (like the PSS SIM)...
I hope you know what i mean. I can refrase it if needed.

P.S. Anyone with a locked DOCOMO, Softbank Phones. Please let me know. I will send you out a simcard. tell me if it works.
If other providers. I will need the locked providers IMSI number. I only have Docomo & SoftBanks.

    EDIT:
Forgot to mention. I do not unlock the phones. I trick them to think they are using the locked to network but in reality they are not.

ok. PM me your address and I will send one out first thing in the morning.

Just remember it will tell you that its a Restricted Sim (not activated).
My phone tell me that. But it lets me use all the options. just cant use anything that has to do with the network.

I have two FOMA phones here (F902iS and P903i) which I'd like to try it with. Also I'm getting a locked Softbank phone (707SC) the next few days.

Also I'm having a W44K from au, but I am not able to provide the IMSI yet. Maybe someone else can try to read it from an au card?

AW614: Your prototype card (lol) is in the mail...

Please post on what it tells you. Give me as much detail as posible...
If its the same as what I stated in the pre-post. Just say the same.

Aslo, Please try to scan for networks and see if the phone locates the networks in your area. Like my phone. BTW: it sees Cingular and Tmo.
It also allows me to connect to Tmo, but I cant use it due to inactive SIM where I got the Ki from.

    squeenix:
OK. I still have 3 Silver Wafers available. so Let me know the IMSI (when you get it) and I can MOD the HEX files and send you the card for testing.
