Htc Tytn being discontinued (No longer offered) at Rogers.

I just came from a Rogers wireless center (Square One) to inquire about the Htc Tytn II, and funny thing, I couldn't even find the Htc Tytn on display any where?
Checked there new flier and it's not there ether.
Spoke with a rep there and he said that it's no longer being offered. It's been replaced by the Htc Touch.
"Htc Touch?!?!", I don't want that!
Told the rep why would I want the htc Touch, it doesn't have WiFi.
Then he started going on about browsing on unsecured networks, please.

Is Rogers back sliding on offering phones with WiFi or what?

He also had no idea when or even if they are going to offer the Htc Tytn II. 1st QTR '08 maybe?
Anyone have any info on this?

I would bet the reason Rogers pulling TyTN off is beacuse TyTN II is coming... Good sign.

I haven't even seen a single TyTn in a store that sells Rogers products, ever.

One of the local Rogers Plus kiosks is just finally starting to sell S621s.

I like my TyTn, but it could've been much better.

Thats too bad. I was hoping they would be selling tytn and kaiser concurrently, and the tytn would become cheaper.

THAT STORE (or Company) has discontinued the TyTN... it is still offered from Rogers....

Some SMALLER or CHEAPER dealers (*coughCELLMARTcough*) will stop ordering certain phones or not carry them at all if they feel that it will not be a huge seller... it creates a frustrating experience for the customer and the sales rep.... even though I can understand. The TyTN is not a huge seller due to it's price. Even at Wireless Wave we generally have it through special order only.... If I was a dealer I would order 10 Touches before I ordered 1 TyTN....

Oh ok. I thought that since it was a Rogers Wireless store and the rep told me that they have no stock and are not going to be getting any more that it was going to be an all Rogers store wide thing.

^^^ I agree with this. I personally have never seen the TyTN in any store alas perhaps a Rogers's on in Eaton Centre. Which is where I would expect to see at least one.

Thanks to Bell as well, the Touch has been marketed as a PDA with a more friendly UI.
TouchFlo is nothing especialy but whatever. So this is bound to spread onto Roger sales for those who do not wish to switch.

I've seen half a dozen stores in and around Montreal that stock the Tytn, or can get it for you.
