The 8gb cards are still insanely expensive. And not a lot of products use them.
I am thinking it will be a long time (at least a year) before the prices really become reasonable.
I hate that my w580 uses them.
Even a 4gb regular duo pro is around $65.00 still!

My gals...
(of course...)
i got my sister's 2gig m2 for her w300i for 35 shipped on newegg, few months later I check the prices and they are 10 dollars more!
umm, they are at a pretty good price now, I wouldn't count on any significant drops in the near future.
Well, they're still more expensive than Pro Duo, if you buy retail. I say look online for deals.
Phone addiction!! Android phones look real sweet right now.

Sony proprietary media will always be a little more expensive compared to SD or CF cards.
But compared to what they were before, I think that they're now floating at a somewhat reasonable level. I think a 4gb M2 stick could be had for about $77USD.
Still too high IMO. That's why I stay in the 1GB and 2GB range for Sony cards, they're reasonable. But when it gets to 4GB, somehow they get as much as my phone bill, LOL!
Yeah, I'd say wait until the summer of 2008. The 4 and 8GB capacity cards should be less then.
Considering that Rogers Wireless is currently offering 8GB M2 cards for free with a 3 year term on a Sony Ericsson W580i I would say just give it a few months and the 8GB will be at $75 or so. This happened with the 2GB M2 and the 4GB Pro Duo.
