Hotmail Access Questions

A few questions on optimizing Hotmail usage on my new Shadow (with the 5.99 T-Zones and Proxys setup)

1) The Windows Live client doesn't work, which I've seen others mention, due to the proxy usage. Anyone have a workaround for this? (it does work over WiFi, just not Edge)
2) I can access hotmail.com (or mail.live.com)'s mobile versions over Mobile IE, but the cookies reset way too often, every 3-4 hours, making it almost unusable since I have to enter my password so often. Any way to either increase the timeouts on these or is there a good auto-form-filler for mobile IE where I can cache the login info so I don't have to retype?
3) Is there any other mail clients/workarounds that would enable getting Windows Live/Hotmail mail into the shadow over EDGE? I.E. there's no POP3 or IMAP support from them, so that won't work, but perhaps there's something else out there?

My exchange push mail (work) works perfectly, so this is my big missing piece to smartphone happiness, as all of my personal mail is on hotmail.

bump and a new question, i have an unlocked cingular 3125 running winmo 5 on the t-zones proxy plan and when i use the built-in mail client to set up hotmail, pocket msn automatically starts when i enter my hotmail address. is there a way to disable this damn pocket msn from starting up automatically? pocket msn does not work with the proxy and even if it did, i don't want another program just to check hotmail.
