d900 self-shutdown issue & where to get battery?

I just purchased a used d900 from a seller on eBay, and have been using it for a few days. A couple times a day, it'll shut down randomly. I'll pull it out of my pocket and it'll be off, or I'll be using it and the screen will just go black. I dont have to be using any particular program or anything, it'll just crash. Will a reflash fix this? I remember reading somewhere that it is likely a battery issue, is this correct?

Which leads me into my next question, where could I get an OEM or quality aftermarket battery for the d900? If not specifically for the d900, what phones have the same battery? I dont want to repeat past experience buying batteries from eBay that barely hold any charge.

Hopefully it is the battery, and I would definitely replace the battery as troubleshooting step 1.

I would go for OEM if possible. Someone else on this forum was looking for a u600 battery. Maybe you can contact them to see if they found a cheap place for it.

    Good luck.

Does the u600 use the same battery?

I remember reading somewhere that the d900 shares batteries with some t-mobile samsung phone, but I cannot find that post or recall which phone it is. Do you know what I'm talking about?

this same problem just happened to my d900, and when i tried to turn it back on, nothing happened. i have 2 batteries and the one that did this was the oem one, so i stuck in the samsung one and it worked again. after using my phone with the original battery, i switched it back to the oem one and again, the phone turned on. it's now showing full bars for the battery.
has this happened to anyone else and is there any way i could maybe reset the memory of the battery... charge it for a very long time or something? i think i may have shorted it or something by using a power backup charger. what else could cause this to happen?

    bump..i'm also having similar issues.
screen goes black..and the msg (lock yes or no) doesn't appear properly..i'm hoping its only a battery issue..would a reflash help on this?
