my wish would be for whatever next qwerty device that comes out... multi tasking and most importantly, a Speakerphone you can actually USE and hear.
These are for the Ocean...
1) A freaking regular browser that allows html/flash/etc natively!
2) Speakerphone the you can HEAR ( or at least mod, like the Treo's)
3) USB interface of some sort (mini, etc)
4) Ability to create your own software W/O having to become a registered helio developer (which I am doing anyway).
5) Standard SD slot
6) Wifi capabilities
7) Extended battery (same size, but higher cap using the new battery technologies out there, or larger size and really thin pliable kind that clicks onto the back of the device with space for the speakerphone.
I think that is it for now that I can think of...anything else missing?![]()
I agree with all of you. I want a Helio Ocean 2; but, I never had Helio or the Ocean; so, I would never know how it is to state the negatives, positives, and improvements it should have. But, i should have Helio by Mid January.Originally Posted by the_3rd
multitasking, better browser, ****ing UI overhaul (the UI is getting REALLY, REALLY boring/lame), ability to use the phone while it's closed(without unlocking it, etc. there should just be a ****ing option to not close and lock after 10 secs!), better video playback quality, easier to push numpad, more uses for the buttons above the screen, NO MORE ULTIMATE INBOX! I hate that software! It's ruining all the new helios! It's so slow and awful! They need a new "Ultimate Inbox" developer! Or they really need to improve this software with fastmobile... the update for ocean worked out a handful of bugs... but really, the software does suck. Did you ever notice when you have a new alert, your background gets covered with just a blue helio screen? Why doesn't the alert pop-up over your wallpaper? Poor development. It's just awful software thrown right on top of Helio's awful software. Compare the AIM to the sidekick/Q/etc., compare the email to ANY OTHER EMAIL CLIENT on a (smarter)phone, then combine the slow laggy OS with a bad email/sms client (ultimate inbox), and it calls for a slow, horrible experience. The samsung's do have the cutest SMS software built-in (i.e Heat&Drift), but with Fin, they demolished it and replaced it with ultimate inbox. and it's SLOW. S.L.O.W. I don't know how much more I can express how SLOW! the FIN is! at least 3x slower/laggier than Ocean.
yeah, there's more. work now!
1) Sync w/ Google Calendar & Google Apps
2) Push email for Gmail that actually works and syncs w/ Gmail
3) No lag when keying in phone #'s using the number pad.
4) Less lag in general
Ditto on:
- Extended battery
- Real web browser
- Regular USB (mini) interface
- WiFi (and WiFi voice convergance ala T-Mobile's HotSpot @Home)

real full bluetooth would be nice too! The bluetooth on these is a joke but other than that i love the phone
Agreed, also:
full bluetooth support is paramount
larger data quota (i get close to or over 160mb pretty quick)
better browser, or at least a firmware update on the heat to allow dl's w/o ssl
flash support (no phone has it yet but we all want it)
you tube app on more models, the offerings on the wap site are crap
PC Tethering support (preferably w/o e-mails from customer support threatening to terminate you for abusing data service if you even ask about it)
I'm lame... i want a touch screen
These are the helio devices I want to hear about so whenever information comes up about these devices bring it here.
P.S. Will someone please sticky this
Then go get a treo! :P
Helio Ocean, FTMFW
~Now if I can only develop mods and software for it...
I merged this with the wishlist since this is the appropriate thread for this and it is already stickied.Originally Posted by Gcode247
