I think you can flash 3150, but not patch it.

i am trying to flash with far w350a no luck i connect it shows only w options i click on either of them and it kicks me out any ideas

I want to make a few small mods to my 580i.
1. remove camera, start-up, shut-down sounds. Remove some graphics.
2. reassign the att web button.

I love the phone otherwise. It's new as of Nov 1 so prolly cid 53. I read the threads but I'm still not sure if I can use FAR Mgr to do this. wit MY phone.

Will this tutorial work 4 me?

Thanks, great link! Been doing a lot of research. Sounds like jd flasher is the best bet for cid 53 phones.

I am a noobie here in terms of posts. this is my first one. used Far manager for the first time today for uploading new flash themes into my W810i (Unlocked and debranded). I copied some .swf into tpa\preset\system\desktop\flash and after that I just quit Far manager disconnected the phone and then tried restarting the phone to upload the .thm files and it doesnt re start... I have removed the battery and tried re charging too. ... nothing happens Looks like it is Dead
Can someone help me get my phone back to life

you cant just disconnect. You have be hit all of the ".."'s until its all the way out.

Depending on what firmware it is - far uploads a fake "not complete" "boot loader" firmware.

when you are done you have to hit the ".."'s all the way back up to get it to upload the real FW (or the piece that it overwrote)

just re flash the FW (the same on that was on it) and it will be ok.

i did manage to get back to the tpa/preset/ etc...and i also got back the same way by hitting ".." all the way upto the point where i see the folders of my PC after that too I my phone doesnt turn ON. how do I re flash the FW ... sorry if i missed it elsewhere in the posts of " how to "

do you know what firmware your phone had on it?

FYI -- Looks like some jdflasher's / FAR has trojan.vundo in it. Be careful.
