    Re: NOKIA screen saver

You mean the operator logo or screen saver? They are actually two different things.
I have a Nokia 3390 too, and I didn't adjust anything to get the operator logo. Is your phone from Fido or SIMPRO?

    The difference...

The difference between an operator logo and a screen saver is simple!
The operator logo is a picture to replace the standard operator logo e.g, Orange, Vodafone etc..
A screen saver is similar to a screen saver on a computer. If the phone is idle for a certain length of time a picture (bigger than the operator logo) will appear on the screen until a button is pressed and then the normal screen will return!

    Re: The difference...

I think it would have been better if Nokia made a screensaver that actually was a screen saver lol. Like an animated one. After all, a screensaver is suppose to move lol. Oh well..... can't have everything lol.

An animated screen saver would probably kill your standby times since the phone's processor would be on constantly

    Re: The difference...

That would be true. But then again maybe they can build a better processor as well. I don't want much do I..

    Re: NOKIA screen saver

the received logo must to be sended for your own operator if not it doesn´t work . the person who sends it to you must to define wat´s your op. ok?

Well...I don't think so really....the phone's CPU probably doesn't draw much power from the batt....plus, it is on anyways while monitoring the network for incoming calls, signal levels, incoming SMS, etc...

    Re: NOKIA screen saver

I am sure someone is able to figure out how to animate them without drawing too much power. Maybe not now but in the future they will. God help us with the battery, we don't need any more drain on the 3390 than it already pulls lol.
