My mom bought me this phone
Does anyone know how to put a vx9900 in bootloader mode, I've tried *# and pwr at the same time, took the battery out, and also tried 5 and pwr, and nothing, the phone keeps going on a power up cycle. Please help

I hope you didn't permanently damage your phone with the * and #, as that is a Motorola code for bootloader mode, which, as far as I have read lately is not good for your lg phone. People complained about it wiping their ESN - yikes. Holding down 5 while the phone powers on should bring up download mode. You have to hold 5 before you hit power and all the way until the download mode screen comes up.

I actually got this phone from one of my customers like that, i'm trying to restore it, it's a brand new phone.
I held the 5 key prior to holding the pwr button, and nothing happens I also tried it with the inside keys and the same response.
any other suggestions? it keeps flashing the verizon logo
Where's the power button?
hold outer 5 button then connect cable and see what happens.
