help with setting a ringtone (8300)

i just downloaded the Ring of death (the ringtone used in one missed call), and it was a .mp3 file. i tried all the tutorials i could find on making it a ringtone. i downloaded bitpim but cant understand it. i also tried a tutorial where i needed to get in the service menu and do something with Music settings but when i click it it's unavalible. i need a step by step guide on making the file in to a working ringtone.
