I've heard some people complain about stains..
flaking is what I'm concerned about..I want the leather one (when it's at a reasonable price) but if it's gonna flake and stain like crazy I might as well get the black which already is at a reasonable price

If your only talking about looks i would get sapphire, but in the end i would go for the arte.
Looked couple of stores pages and it at least seems that arte is selling like 10x more compared to sapphire. So if you wanna feel special get sapphire
I'll probally wait till next 8xxx series phone comes out and look what to do then.

From what I've read on some user reviews, the leather does fade over time. That's kinda crummy to hear but I can understand...That being said, it does look REALLY sharp.
I'm still getting the regular one though...

got a problem with mine. my one seems to be using the battery even when the phone is turned off. i get about a day regardless of having it on or off. set to 2g only, no background running apps etc. i know it's not the battery because it's brand new and when i take it out for a day the power bar is still the same. but i do have to set my time, date etc again after a long period of having the battery taken out. am i experiencing corrupted memory here? when i updated my firmware it did warn me of corrupted memory and forced me to format. or is the battery usage of these phones just that poor?
i also recently had to replace my lcd. it is supposedly genuine, but i wouldn't have a clue. it is an OLED though. could this be the culprit?

you can try buying a new mic. they are cheap and from what i know are plugged in (no soldering required).
