Temp Wallpaper thread

I may have done this wrong but I am stuck at work so I have little choice. I used Verizonwirless PIX messaging service to send it to my phone now the wall paper is super tiny. Is there a way to fix this or do I just have to wait till I get home transfer it to dl to my computer and then transfer to my phone??

I used SUPER to create/cut a short AVI at 400*240 and 7.5 fps 240kb mpeg4, mp4v

I used VirtualDub-mpeg to output an image sequence from the short video

I used 'Sqirlz Morph', to create these shockwave files from the images

all of this is FREE ware software

ONE file has 26 images, for the complete animation sequence , the other has 31 images

this is a multi-step process, using 3 different programs

it is NOT a drag & drop 1 click, automated process

a more detailed write up when i have time

until then, DL the free programs and start trying your luck

the important thing is to keep your avi short, cut your source file to just a few seconds that you want, then use virtualDub-mpeg or another program to create a series of images from the video frames,

or you can use a series of static images, you already have, make a flash wallpaper slide show from a series of other pictures already sized as wallpapers

but you MUST have a series of images the correct size for the screen

doing the outside is even more work ( because of sizing and cropping )

Forgive me if this has been discussed... how in the holy poo do you get the swf's as wallpaper to work? Ive tried putting them in the fun animation folder and pictures folder via bitpim.

thats correct, they go in the fun animations

you can NOT add them as NEW files,

you must over write an existing file

the ones with MAIN in the name are for the inside screen

the ones with SUB in the name are for the touch screen

pick a wallpaper right click , choose 'over write' then navigate to your file

when done the name will still be the same, but the file size will be different ( the same as your new wallpaper )

when you go to fun animations choose the one you over wrote.. or browse thru them

example in bitpim #7 sub & mains aer at the top of the files list, but in the menus they are the last one in the list 'white'

blue is 6

green is 5

etc...

mobil tv is number 1, in the bitpim list ( bottom of the list ) BUT top of the menu, when using the phone

Photobucket will let you click on the link "flash animation" to go to the flash, so they sort of host it, but, yeah, it doesn't show the image.

Gang, I have read this thread with great interest and plan to integrate the clock idea into my custom wallpapers for the VX8800. I found an awesome site with hundreds of free flash clocks you could use.

One clock in particular is pretty cool and with the touch screen on the Voyager you could use it's ability to switch between the clock and the calendar. Unfortunately with the Venus we can't do this but I thought I'd share it with you guys to give you another option. Maybe one of you will try it out.
