    Toshiba 810/T "BeatJam 2007" Problems

I own an unlocked Toshiba 810 (Chinese Firmware since there isnt any Japanese Firmware) and I have an issue. I've not figured out how to play music with my phone.

Here are some things you might need to know?

    1. I am using a 2GB Micro SD card, I've been told this MAY be an issue.

    2. I can't install Beatjam 2007 because there is some kind of language problem although I think I have Japanese text installed on my computer.

    3. I am using an Beat Engine (which came with my Toshiba 803) instead and have found that my 810 can FIND the song.. but then once I try to play it it wipes it off the system.

    4. I have tried downloading the newest Beatjam off the official Toshiba site with no success.

    5. Also no other programs that came with the phone functions properly.. am I doing something wrong or is it compatibility issues either with my computer or with the Chinese Firmware?

    I thank you in advance!

    - What brand? Have you tried a different card?

    2. I can't install Beatjam 2007 because there is some kind of language problem although I think I have Japanese text installed on my computer.
    - Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Advanced (3rd tab) -from here, select Japanese, instead of English (United States) or whatever is in the drop box on your version of windows. This *should* fix it. Note that BeatJam 2007 runs in Japanese only, but it's pretty easy to navigate around.

    - You should probably use the BeatJam version that is shipped with your 810T.

    - What kind of programs are we talking about?

BeatJam loads DRM-protected music. While a proper 810T with Softbank firmware will expect that and work with it, the Smartone-Vodafone firmware (that's the only Chinese firmware available for the 810T, right?) you've currently got in your phone does not. It expects standard MP3/AAC files but in the same folder structure that Beat Engine uses. Find a TX80 software CD and install "Toshiba Mobile Music" off of that. That's the software you need. Or if you don't have a TX80 software CD handy just dump all your music into the "Sounds and Ringtones" folder. Go into "My Sounds" instead of "Music Library" in the Media player and you'll see all your music.

None of the other stuff that came wth your phone works because it all relies on your phone having Softbank firmware (I have a proper TX80 but tried the Softbank software out of curiosity when I momentarrily lost my software CD). If you want it all to work, flash it with the original firmware and get a PSS-SIM because the hardware unlock relies on the Chinese firmware.

Hmm.. thanks for your help. I don't have a TX80 Software for the Toshiba Mobile Music.. is it against board regulations to ask for it? :/

Well you already did, so just see if anyone has it. If no one can, then you can dump all your music in the "Sounds and Ringtones" folder of your microSD card. It won't be fun to navigate, but it works.

Some boards would kick you out if you ask for software as they would consider it Warez / Illegal Filesharing.. I asked whether or not it was against the rules to ask for it.. just to make sure. There is a difference between the implication of wanting something and actually asking for it.

Does anyone have the TX80 Software for the Toshiba Mobile Music? If you could email it to me or send me the link to my email address I would greatly appreciate it.
