Should be, but just to be safe, can anyone confirm this? I'm 99.9% positive.

ahhhhhhh. Should i signup for the $5/5mb plan now then? I have a HTC Touch (rogers branded), that i bought off someone, does this account towards anything?

However, I dont mind waiting to see whether this Q1 change will greatly affect things, however if its something worth grandfathering then I dont mind either.

    Current data plans and "grandfathering"

RO, maybe you can help. I currently have the 5 MB data plan. I was thinking to switch to the 10 MB plan (since I have a Q9h) and have it grandfathered. Now, my problem is that my billing cycle starts on the 6th. Do you think that the change can be done before that (I don't care about prorated amounts)? And if yes, is there any chance that the plan would be grandfathered?
Best things in life are free! I guess I am with the wrong provider then...

If you don't care about prorated amounts switch now and the switch should be in the system to be grandfathered, switch now sooner the better

If they are going to do things via IMEI I'll be pretty annoyed. Well here is hoping they actually bring out a DECENT Nokia phone for me for that. Thats the only way they will get more of my money anytime soon.

In fact if this comes out the way it seems to be...I will cancel my data on day one in protest.

Would have been fun if its was replacing the 15$ unlimited mails which would give you unlimited mail + 2mb for 15$

Would this be a good time for me to remove my 65$ 1GB plan? LOL. And I just got it last week for my iPhone.
