I have a $20 value pack with 5mb mobile browsing included. But I have yet to pay for the data on my WM device. Does this mean that if i switch to the $5 unlimited, that i will be alright too? (up to the cap of course).

Are you sure that 5mb is not included in this plan. I just got my bill today and there is an ad to switch over to the $20 Comm Value Pack (which includes 5mb).
Also the $10 Com. Value Pack (vm, call disp, 125txt msg) is going up to $11.00 (in March)
Rogers will never switch over the plan automatically and never have in the past. You must call to switch it over. And you can't complain if you use over 5mb on your current $20 communicate value pack because the ad is in your bill to change over. Oh, and the mobile browsing for wap is $7, not $5 and for Rogers certified devices only. So that means anyone with an unlocked device is SOL so you better cash in with the navigate plan because they will be expiring as well.
Hmmm...so if I have the $5 for 5mb internet plan does that automatically get changed? Will they contact me to tell me or will it just show up on my bill?
And since I don't use the phone they gave me but my N810 tethered to my E65 for email and surfing...should I be concerned how they might charge me for this type of usage?
Ideally I'd have the $15/mth BB unlimited Email & BB Messenger plan with ...

and
is this confirmed! from Rogers that ... Note: Windows Mobile, PDAs & Blackberry phones aren't eligible for $20 Updated Communicate Pack for BB On-Device Mobile Browsing???
Thanks.
Also for those that don't know ... data is data BUT ... there ARE network tools to find out exactly WHICH devices are using what.
Whipcore is one such software & network switch add-on that can be configured to restrict specific IMEI's access or NON-access to a specific APN. I'm sure there are much better implementations on the same principles or with new paradigms. Anyone with access to the new version of Felix know of such a technology employed by Rogers?
A lot of questions abound though. I will definitely need a further in-depth explanation of data usage before I make any account changes...
Also, how will vision pricing be affected? By adding the new $5 internet plan, will customers get the $100 invoice credit? Or will they need to add the $7 plan? I hate this system, I find it very difficult to sell, and customers always whine about "how they don't need anything" like that.
Everyone's accounts probably won't default to the new stuff, I remember when they changed the BB data a couple times, people's data did not increase unless they actually did a price plan change.
Anyway, in general, these are some good, positive changes, especially coming out of Q4, in which Rogers brought nothing new and progressive to the table.
Luckily my bill date is the 1st so I can make the switch to the current 10mb plan on my bill date before this comes into affect and if it turns out positive that this NEW package is good for S60 phones, I will then switch again. We need more details
the $5 value pack seems interesting.. a bit better.. gives ppl more choice.. before u were either choose 125 text messages or 2500.. nothing better in between!
My account is registered on a rogesr krzr (although am using a rogers blackberry) so I can use the 5$ browsing for let say google map?
Oh and right now I have the 6$/125sms, i guess 5$/250sms 50mms will fit me well
no will not work.. the type of data is required to go on the web for browsing on a BB is different then the type of data is allowed on this value package.. from my understanding
