1. Pedometer I am pretty sure.
2. Not sure
3. Press the memory card in, it should pop right out.
4. It was extremely difficult to open on my S500i the first few times, but then it got progressively easier.

Hi,
I just got my new Sony Ericsson W580i yesturday and had it unbranded/unlocked today, and have a few questions about it. My question are:
1) What is that foot counting thing at the bottom left corner, and wondering how does it work?
2) If i peel off the white label, how do i do it without peeling off the screen protector?
3) how do i take out the memory card?
4) Does anyone find it hard to open up the back door to the battery?

I found the best way to open the battery cover was to really push down on it while sliding it out. You've got to press hard to release the clasps.
Is there a trick for getting the battery cover back on correctly? My W580i cover hasn't seated right since I first took the battery out when debranding it. It just won't "snap" in place again.
I found that the best way was to kind of work it on there first, and make sure that it is seated correctly, then slide it closed.
For opening the battery cover, someone here previously posted the suggestion of using a piece of tape on the back of the phone to tug with. That trick works great on mine.
For getting it back on, I noticed that you have to really have it almost on before it will snap - it sits loose even while it's almost all the way on. I've never had much of a problem with getting it back on, although it has occured that it wouldn't get back on straight and so one side would snap in and the other wouldn't. It seems to work best to basically just set it on so it's flush along the edges but the end will be hanging off, and then just slide it into place. you don't really have to press it to get it to go back on, just slide it in. thats how mine works.
@kylezo tats how u're supposed to do it =DD n
