Clock and Wallpaper Advanced

I actually i only have a Dare..... But the dare has a shortcut key so that when you press only the screen nothing happens. I'm sure in setting on the voyager you can change stuff up but i could not tell you for sure.

I'd love to be proved wrong, but I don't think you can disable the "switch to shortcuts" operation on the Voyager external screen (after you unlock the screen, of course). Does anyone know how to do this?

I know I'm really storming this thread but i had to upload this one. Its a regular clock with a blink-182 bunny. Then when you tap the screen a countdown comes up for the concert in Aug 23. Couldn't get the time to work so only days. Of course i would be happy to fix this for people for their own countdowns.

Is there some reason you're posting wallpapers, which only work as advertised on the Dare, in the Voyager forum? Wouldn't the Dare forum be a better target for your work? At a minimum, please indicate the "interactive" feature is only available on the Dare.

Unfortunately I was unsure that you could not use interactive wallpapers on the Voyager... so now i will make a note of it, thank you for you suggestion.

OEM v03 FW does not have interactive

I think v06 FW does have interactive capability, i still have v03 on my voyager because i have a dare and didnot need to upgrade my voyager, IF you do not have v06 on your voyager take it into a corp store an ask them to flash it/upgrade the FW

Actually, I have a Titanium I purchased in Feb running VX10KV11, and it does not support "interactive" mode for wallpapers. There may be a difference between the US-Verizon and Canadian-? versions of the firmware, but I don't know for sure. I also checked on another forum's clock section for Voyager, and they indicate it does not work like the Dare.

Believe me, I wish this *did* work: it could be very useful to have multi-purpose wallpaper/apps on the front of the Voyager. Maybe Voyager 2...

Actually you can use it some what... If you press firmly at the top where the TV with the X in the middle is and drag it all the way to the bottom past the blue menu icons and end your finger on the LG logo it works. Side to side and from bottom to top i cant get to work. I have v11 firmware.

After you lift your finger, does the wallpaper stay up, or does it shift to the shortcut menu? I know the initial action does happen, but the question is does it leave the wallpaper displayed or not.

I'm thinking more along the lines of something really useful like the wallpaper that has a flashlight or calculator as a second screen (I tried one of these earlier and was very disappointed when I couldn't actually use the calculator because as soon as it displayed, the shortcut menu kicked in).

If you do as i stated above, it will leave the wallpaper on the screen. As for calculator no it will not work. Yes on flash light. Just give it a try and you will see what i mean.

I'd sure like to have a transparent digital clock. No fancy wallpaper, I can make my own .jpg...
Can anyone direct me where to start?
I know it's bitpm, I don't have that but can dnld it.
but, after I download bitpm, what then?
Is there a tutorial?

WHERE do I actually "get" a transparent digital clock (I just want to see the numbers but have it overlay my .jpg bg) that I can put on there?

the 'clock tutorial' info is back in the early stages of the thread

you have to use a swf editing creation program to create/make these clock-wallpapers

adobe cs3, or sothink 'swf quicker' or trellix swf compiler

bitpim is just used to over write the OEM 'fun animations' with these new swf files

you can't just PUT A CLOCK on any bg using bitpm (still don't have bitpm)
You have to have the clock made ONTO the bg?
And then upload it (the new .swf bg) as an animation and set that fun animation as the bg?

i've used bitpim but it doesn't recognize vx11000.
does anyone know how to do it? plz help me..
