OK, I've updated to US Cellular 4.3.0.97 from AllTel .81 and now I can't stream from http://www.somafm.com nor from ORB. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
I upgraded from the shipped OS a few days ago and have noticed a few things
-Battery life seems lower, I used to go 2-3 days, but now, with same amounts of use in the same areas I am down to a single bar by the end of a day. Am I just crazy or does this OS have more idle processes or something?
-Sometimes when exiting the camera it does a screwy thing where the top and bottom parts of the screen go back to the home screen, but the actual camera stays up. Anyone else experience this?
-I will be listening to a music file, it will give me an "Error playing..." message, and I will restart the song and it will play though flawlessly.
I did take some things out like BBmessenger and languages, but only using the RIM installer, not deleting anything. I do like the hugely reduced lag times switching screens. Also the remove of the confirm standby screen is a godsend.

UPDATE: Go figure. Now its working.
I only got audio streaming to work once. I've tried over and over. Video streaming (youtube) works fine. Audio streaming works fine on my wife's Verizon .60 build and worked fine on my AllTel .81 build.
Is anyone else not able to stream via Verizon on .97? Try http://www.somafm.com, try the Groove Salad 64kbs stream. Thanks.

This happened to me as well, but it had nothing to do with the upgrade. I noticed my battery was barely lasting 8 hours, let alone a full day. I thought my battery was bad, but I did a battery pull (physically removed the battery and not use the Soft Reset program) and left the battery out for a couple of minutes and now the battery life is fine again. By the end of the day, I am at around 80-85%.

This happened to me once or twice too, but this also had nothing to do with the OS upgrade, as it happened before I did the upgrade.

what does changing the firmware on hter verizon pearl actually do? Does it enable GPS with out VZ navigator? Anything else it might do? I've read the post but i dont see an answer to my question....any help would be great!
It doesn't seem like it's about the OS version, IMHO...folks are streaming or not on various releases w/out any consistency.
I'm on .97 - Orb works w/.97 and also worked for me on .81 as well, m.vtap.com had 30s pauses before .97 (now gone), Blueapple never did work (now it works fine), SomaFM won't work, all other radio streaming works fine...and also worked fine on previous releases.
