How to pair iPhone with new laptop?

I did some searching but couldn't find anything specific on this. My new laptop is here and I want to start syncing my iPhone with it. Are there any special precautions or steps I need to take to authorize, connect, and sync my iPhone with the new laptop???

Also wondering is it possible to just sync calender/contacts with my work laptop and then music/movies/photos with my personal laptop? Didn't know if you could be set up to sync with multiple computers or not.

You can sync outlook information to more than one computer, but music/vids to only one.(without special software via installer) It will ask you if you want to merge your information(outlook) with the second computer.

when you say "pair" I assume you mean via Bluetooth? It can't be done with the iPhone. No Bluetooth sync at all.

If you have an iPod, you can use that as a hard drive and just plug it in to your new computer and transfer the files, I believe.
