It never explicitly said that it included unlimited on-device data. It was an unadvertised bonus, but those that have it will get to keep it.
My New Rogers Plan
- $35 Unlimited Local Calling Plan
- $30 6GB Data -$10 discount
- $10 Retention Value Pack - Free (2500 texts, CID, VM)
- 100 mins LD - Free
- $67 + tax

It NEVER said "data" or "browsing" because it was never officially included.
Line 1: (Mobilicity) BTS 25 on PAC - Unlimited local talk/text/data @ $23/month Line 2: (Wind) Irresistible35 - Unlimited everything @ $35/month Line 3: (Wind) Holiday Miracle - Unlimited everything @ $40/month Line 4: (Fido) Retention - Unlimited North America talk & text @ $50/month Line 5: (Wind) All in the Family Laptop - Unlimited data @ $15/month
All my posts are my own opinion only and not necessarily that of any of my employers, past or present.

This is the $64000 question: since it was never officially included or documented, is TELUS required to allow us to keep it?
They are now officially charging through the nose for anything else. Personal Email & IM only comes with TELUS email and msn messenger. ANYTHING ELSE IS CHARGED PER MB: AIM, use of your own email address, facebook, gmail, anything else is now NOT ACCESSIBLE under the email and IM plan.
And we have nothing in writing saying that these things were *ever* accessible from our "old" $15 email and IM plan.
Will they try to bend us over a barrel here and risk a mutiny?

Hmm I've been on the fence about replacing my v710 with a P4000 (and missed the super secret $15.00 deal) My contract was up last month, this may be enough to make me decide.
I don't understand how this is great... basically for 30$ we can get what a few here got for 15$? and we still have to add a 30$ voice plan + 6.95$ ?
No for $30 you can't get anything even close to what the old $15 plan was.
For $30 you have to use a Telus email address, the kludgy and retarded telus email solution, telus' crappy specified browser, and telus' specified MSN messenger program.
If you use any of the following, you get charged $8/MB
GMail
Facebook
Agile Messenger
Google Maps
ActiveSync
an RSS Reader
WMWifiRouter
Whereas on the old plan, these and any other app you wanted to use were included.
The new plan is almost useless, unless you're in the 1.1% of Canadians who only uses an @telus.net email address and has all their friends on MSN messenger. And you don't go on the internet, read the news, or use Facebook.
