So even tho my plan from Dec 30 says Unlmt'd Personal email & IM 15 it will remain with unlimited data? I was sure it used to say Data also, but today this is what is there????????

meaning if you have the 15$ feature already you get the mobile browsing for the length of your term included. so dont call in to make changes 8P

It NEVER said "data" or "browsing" because it was never officially included.

This is the $64000 question: since it was never officially included or documented, is TELUS required to allow us to keep it?

They are now officially charging through the nose for anything else. Personal Email & IM only comes with TELUS email and msn messenger. ANYTHING ELSE IS CHARGED PER MB: AIM, use of your own email address, facebook, gmail, anything else is now NOT ACCESSIBLE under the email and IM plan.

And we have nothing in writing saying that these things were *ever* accessible from our "old" $15 email and IM plan.

Will they try to bend us over a barrel here and risk a mutiny?

Nakoda aleady posted the internal bulletin that went out today to Telus employees. It is in fact grandfathered.

No for $30 you can't get anything even close to what the old $15 plan was.

For $30 you have to use a Telus email address, the kludgy and retarded telus email solution, telus' crappy specified browser, and telus' specified MSN messenger program.

If you use any of the following, you get charged $8/MB

GMail
Facebook
Agile Messenger
Google Maps
ActiveSync
an RSS Reader
WMWifiRouter

Whereas on the old plan, these and any other app you wanted to use were included.

The new plan is almost useless, unless you're in the 1.1% of Canadians who only uses an @telus.net email address and has all their friends on MSN messenger. And you don't go on the internet, read the news, or use Facebook.
