I called yesterday and they said that they could not even see the K850 on their system. I'm on a corp plan and have been off a contract since Oct 2007 and wanted to see what price I could get it for a 3 year contract renewal.

Is that price of $199.99 with the vision subscription?

Not yet. I just called a store in Toronto to find out what price I could get and ask if there were any restrictions on my account, since they had them in stock and the stores near me don't.

I'm waiting until next week when the stores in Guelph have them in stock and I can upgrade.

Oh, you're probably better off trying to take her. I believe they verify your birthday, so unless you look a lot older than you are, you might be kinda boned. Might have to sign something too, I'm not sure.

A question about UL browsing with the 7$ vision plan.

I called cust. service today and asked if I had UL browsing, and she said yes. (I already knew the answer) So, after she said yes, I asked her if that only pertains to my K850i and she said no. I was told that if I had UL browsing on my account, then I could use any phone and browse and not be charged a fee. However, I checked some other threads and they say that if you use a non rogers phone, then you'd be billed bc of the IMEI number mismatch or something like that.

So...who do I believe? The noob on the phone or the community of HoFo? =D

I tried installing Marble Madness 3D, but it doesn't seem to work. The app runs fine, but it hangs if 'motion' is enabled. Disable 'motion' and it works fine, but it kinda defeats the purpose.

I'm wondering if it's something to do with the Rogers firmware... ?

This is all very true...and maybe it's that common sense thing you spoke about..but if you re-read his post, he never once mentioned anything about the vision plan. Looked to me like he was talking about the U/L wap/internet plan

The UL WAP plan IS the Vision plan. They are the same thing.

Went to a rogers wireless store in Kanata to see if they had any in stock. They did not, but they suggested going a couple doors down to the roger video store. Tada! They had 'em. So far so good.

Got one question. Is this fourm a good place to start a new thread for pro/con list for debranding of the rogers k850i. I want to know what I would loose and what there is to gain. Or should that be in the SE forum?
