Finally got a hold of a K850 THRu Customer Relations.
$199 with a 3 year renewal.

My only concern is the physical Rogers branding which I hope will not be on there.
I am not complaining, but it'd be nice to not have it there.

i just called and they said that you cannot get teh 8gb mem promo because it has ended is this true?...is there still anyway i can get it ..i have already purchased the phone through rogers jus waiting on delivery

It seems for now, no. But I'm betting my UN-LUCKY stars if I went through retentions on March 21st it WILL. I cannot do squat because of STUPID # Porting. I'm so VEXED because of this!

NOTES:

1> DaVinci has firmware 038 available.

2> certain "branded" firmware (O2 I think) allow for muting shutter sound when on mute. But better to go unbranded all the way; take not YOU ARE responsible for proper APN settings (from SE's support site; Load MMS first, Then Rogers Internet; apply both, THEN LAST: apply the Rogers APN. I state this because either "Rogers Internet" or "Rogers" once applied get set as the default APN thats WHY I say the "ROGERS" APN last as this SHOULD be the one for which allows correct Vision browsing via the NetFront inbuilt browser. Treatz and other informed Rogers Reps correct me if I'm wrong pls!)

ALso what firmware is Rogers shipping on their K850i???? (Treatz usually posts such info, but he already has an unlocked & unbranded SE K850i so I doubt he wanted to check Rogers' firmware).

its been posted somewhere, not sure and too lazy to search but firmware is a 'newer' version as in its R1D and no longer R1C
however that being said, there may not be any new additions and simply the addition to rogers branded stuff could be the reason for the firmware renaming.

Thanks for the replies guys, I was worried that I'd only be able to get the $100 off or the 8GB, personally don't care much for the memory, but since it's free.
Sweet, now just waiting on my ICe-25 case and my Clarivue screen protectors and I'm going to start using my K850. It's sitting on my night table calling out my name!
