Rest assured, you can HUP to it. That particular location that was contacted simply doesn't want to do them, that's all.
tht store I called just said they are doing sales first then they will do HUP and you're exactly right.

So if the phone is Unbranded and we add the $7 UL Browsing would we still be able to get Facebook moblie and Live Messenger all within that UL Plan? Or no?

That's ridiculous. We would never not allow a HUP. If a customer comes in and we've only got one phone left of a specific model, and someone wants to HUP to it, we do it, no reservations.

Which is the way it's supposed to be. Stores, by agreement, are not supposed to allocate stock to activations Vs. HUP.

That may be true, but there are many stores (I know of a few in my area) that do this whenever a new phone/Blackberry comes out.

No. 25 val pack with 7 vision add on. What i said first time
That's ridiculous. To get the equivalent Fido 3G discount you only need to get the $20 value pack, not a $25 value pack + a $7 vision add-on. If that's the case then I'm definitely not going to Rogers. Fido still loves me. :P

Yeah, so ... at LEAST $7 extra a month over 3 years (which means at least $252) to get a $100 discount on the phone. Not to mention the extra cost of having my voice plan renewed for the 3 years if I choose to HUP. So, the question is, is the phone worth it to HUP? Or just an outright buy? Has anyone actually used a live one yet? My store has 7 on order for the end of the week... I can't wait to play around with one!

Is there a benefit from buying from a corporate store than say a dealer like Future Shop?
