Thanks for the kind reply polo unlike that other guy that's way too high up on his horse there. I use to hound phones like no tomorrow but I sorta have a life. Can't really research all the markets of phones. I knew all the tips and tricks of the 903sh.

I wanted the 904sh so bad but you know, the unlock wait really made a lot of people discouraged, I turned my head away from the JDM phone scene completely.

Hence, I'm not too familiar with the phones until my buddy who has like 7 of these new ones, let me play with them and told me about the hypersims and such, and now I'm curious again!

Well..if anyone is planning on getting a jap phone and still hasn't
I would suggest that they wait a few month more, just to wait on the stability of the unlockings, it is stil not perfect at this moment.
Also, there might be more variety to choose from in a few months. If I remember correctly, the new DoCoMo 906i series will be on sale in Japan in May/June. If we are lucky enough, these new phones might be available as well. The new W62S by Au/kddi also has GSM mechanics incorporated, I have no idea of its capability, but its worth taking a look at if you want to be the unique of the unique. Along with the newly claimed unlocks of SoftBank 921sh(my personal fav next to p905itv, both fullface slider! yet both 3g only =[ ) and 922sh, theres more to choose from

Turbo.GC8: no problem man...always here to help...anywayz..I think you should listen to 10W40 and wait a few more months. I am sure the japs are going to go crazy (we all know it...they are crazy..lol) and release some kick-butt phones during summer/fall season. They will surpass N95, and I think is going to be soon. So Keep your N95 for now. =D

10W40: Damn you..lol...I was about to get the N905i. and now you spatter me with a whole bunch of new phones coming soon. But I must thank you, because if I knew new phones are coming this soon after I buy my N905i, I would seriously regret it. lol. so now for me, is the waiting game. lol. hmmmm......the 906i series looks sick!!!..lol

its really hard to wait for everything to be stable and working perfectly while everyone else on the forum is talking about it.
but seriously, new phones come out all the time, you can't really tell him to wait, because these phones took around 3 months until an unlocking solution came out and its only now that the solutions are becoming stabler. so by the time the 906i series come out ( i'm thinking that its more like july than may/june ) it might take till winter for it to unlock. and thats a good 6 months to wait..

the inex hypersims for docomo are pretty stable, and when they go signal OUT, they reconnect automatically, so i can't find a reason why you wouldn't get one, even the other sim hacks are pretty stable in the GTA as many other people there has reported.

don't be scared, get it soon, you won't regret it. they're one of a kind.

ANYHOW, don't you think we should stop or move this conversation about docomo's, because afterall.. this is a softbank thread. lol

Epikhigh: You have seriously have a good point. You just can't catch up with technology. I wish I lived in Japan, lol. Well, I am struggling. I just researched on some info on the 906i series, and it seems they have the same specs from the chinese/kanji that I can read. I just want to know how they look like because so far, all the phones in the 905i series except N905i can't compare to sharp phone's attractive appearance. lol

And you are right, this is not the place to talk about Docomo..lol...but I am a newb here, I can't seem to find the Nec Docomo thread...

hmmmmmm...and I really wonder what softbank and sharp are planning to counter back at DoCoMo..they have to....just what will it be and when is the question...mayb 8.1mp camera phone?..lol..haha

the docomo thread is the SH905i/P905i thread. people talk about all the docomo phones there.
lol and the higher pixel count doesn't necessarily mean the better quality.. i think around 5mp is good enough. lol don't need the pictures to be huge..

If you want it just get it. More phones will always be coming, and by the time you've finally decided to get a 905i, like EpikHigh said 906i would be here. Then you'll be wanting the 906i instead.

Get a 905i, and be happy with it. I still have my 920SH, and will be holding onto it until an unlock for it arrives. Best screen I have ever seen in a phone, no contest. I also have an SH905i and an N95, in case you're wondering which phones I'm comparing to.

well..if you got the wealth to own several $500 phone~then yeah..you would want to buy them first if you can. But if you are poor like me~! =p then waiting would be ideal

Haha everyone here has good points and I was thinking the same thing. Waiting is always an option but it's impossible to keep up with the technology. New phones may need new unlocks which would cause more wait, and in that wait time a new phone can come out. It's a cylce I quite familiar with, I may not be a JDM phone guru but I know in a broad sense how the cycle goes.

10w40 has a good point cause I don't have thousands to spend. I have to either sell the N95 and use that money for a new phone or just keep it.

There is also a 922sh on Ebay that the seller says is fully unlocked, and unlike the 921sh, the 922sh has GSM. Has anyone managed to get a hold of one?

its not really "more stable" but rather more usable.
because the only softbank phones from the 920 series that are usable in north america right now are 920sc/920sh. 920sc is like a copy of the g800. they basically have the same specs. and the 920sh is only capable of calling and texting at the moment
while docomo on the other hand can use its multimedia functions and everything else that doesn't require internet.

905i is the series, so we can't really tell you how the camera is.. lol but they're all over 3.2mp.

if you need a good camera, i would recommend the 5mp's all their cameras are decent for a 5mp. the SO905ics/P905i/N905i are all 5mp. the rest of the series are 3.2mp.

ya I was looking at N905i, my buddy has one coming in.

Im lookin everywhere to find samples of the camera pictures but I can't seem to dig any up. In the "other brands" no one has a thread on the NEC N905i. Damn!

My friend said there is a site that has all sample pics of these phones but he can't remember where it is. still diggin

Yeah, HWZ has some I think. I've got a white one just sitting here right now, as the person I got it for hasn't replied to me yet. O.o Oh well, I'll sell it if he doesn't get back to me. The N seems a little chunky to me, and although I like it, I prefer the P to it.
