Companies that have towers from one end of Canada to the other is ONE.... ROGERS.

Does Bell ? No... Telus... Hell no!

lol.. you seem a bit insecure... Rogers shareholder perhaps?

Well discussed topic in other threads is this not?
Anyway, I am happy for the most part with Rogers, exception being data rates for smartphones of course. Telus would have to offer something pretty special for me to lay down 2 bills for the ecf, and whatever a GSM telus offers, I see Rogers matching anyway.

thats the thing, competition. There is competition now for the data rates, but for gsm service, none.

Bah, for selected "on-device" wap browsing maybe! When they get something worthwhile and affordable going for smartphones then maybe I will consider it competition
Can you imagine trying to use unlimited internet on something like a w810?

GSM is only 2G. CDMA is only 2G.

Both will be killed sooner or later, to have the bandwidth re-purposed. In US AT&T killed their GSM network already and Verizon will kill their CDMA in 2019.
