    Samsung Blackjack 2 ringtone help

I just got my blackjack 2 yesterday and I'm trying to figure out how to use my mp3's as ringtones...is there any way to do that or any converter/mod I could use? Any help would be appreciated.

    MP3 as ringtone

It can be done. You need to locate the MP3 file you have added to your device (or microsd card).

    1. Open My Stuff from your phone
    2. Navigate to the MP3 file and highlight it
    3. Click the Menu button
    4. Select Set as --> Ringtone

I did this and it says the file size can't be larger than 300 KB. Any other ideas?

hey what i ended up doing was having to make my own. if you have the mp3 on your pc, you can use this website called www.tonebee.com. I usually don't sign up for this crap, but you dont have to accept any offers or anything like that. You just make an account and then thats it. You upload your mp3 to the site and then you can cut the part you want and itll save as an mp3 on your pc. It takes a minute to figure out when 300kb is 300kb, but overall its pretty sweet.

Another good site is www.myxertones.com. Free and you can also cut up the song into whatever portion you want.

That is easy to circumvent. Get Mobile Registry Editor, plug your phone into your PC and:

Go into HKEY_Current User → ControlPanel → Sounds
Then hit the "Values" button to display the values
Edit the key of FileSizeLimit (just add a zero to the number to make it 3mb instead of 300k)

Then you can just stick the mp3 in "my sounds" on your phone's storage card or in memory and it will show up as an available sound in the sounds settings in the control panel.

    Cheers,

just use MP3 Cutter and cut any song you want to 30 seconds and stick it on the SD card. When you got to the sounds to edit it will show up on the list.

dont delete the whole code, just add a 0 to the end of the number already there. that should be fine.

This would be a fantastic fix if I were able to install this garbage on my computer. I get bombarded with errors and it shuts off immediately. ActiveSync also does the same thing. This is a fresh install of XP Pro SP2 so I have no idea why this software is having an issue with my laptop.

    Any input?

I tried the exact same steps on the laptop as I just did with my other windows desktop. They both have the identical installation of XP Pro SP2 (I used the same disc). However, my laptop gives me a slew of issues. The ActiveSync CD that came with my BJII is still corrupt on this machine, however I can download ActiveSync from download.com and successfully pair it with my BJII and I changed the registry settings.

Only thing is now, wtf is wrong with my laptop?

Secondly, can you set mp3s to text ringtones?
