Applying monster pack after code unlock

Since the search feature has been disabled today and I know how long it can take to sift through all these posts, I'm just going to ask someone for the information. Sorry if it's a duplicate question but I really don't want to spend the day reading posts to find the answer. I sincerely appreciate anyone who can answer this knowledgeably.
I purchased a V3r locked to AT&T yesterday believing that it was a different model. Didn't realize it until I got home with the phone. So I'm stuck with a phone that is nearly impossible to unlock without doing a testpoint unlock, which I've never had to do and have great fear of at the moment. I ended up paying someone to unlock the phone by subsidy code remotely from an Ebay listing.
What I need to know is if I will be able to flash the phone with a monster pack after unlocking by this method or will it relock the phone on me? The monster pack is T-Mobile branded for this model and bootloader level.

I'm pretty sure that if the MP is from a locked phone, it will lock your phone, but if it's from an unlocked phone, it won't.

Make sure, though, that the software version of the monsterpack matches your phone's software version... don't flash a R3443U2 MP to a R4515 phone, for example.

Thanks! I am guessing by the fact that the monster pack is branded T-Mobile that it will, in fact, relock this phone. I think I have a generic MP for this model and version, just wanted the MyFavs feature.

Not necessarily; it could have come from an unlocked but branded phone. Usually, though, the download site or the "blurb" for the file would say it's "unlocked" if it is. If it doesn't say either way, you should probably assume it's "locked."

Ah yes, sad thing is though, the file I have doesn't talk lol. I downloaded it a while back to have and can't remember where I got it. I've been looking for a program that will decompile an shx file so I can pilfer the goodies I want out of it, make my own MP and have the best of both worlds. Trust me when I say I honestly don't know enough about doing this to not be dangerous. I'm just brave aka toopid. Fortunately, I have this old V3 to mess around with. If it will work for that, it can fix one up to work on my good V3r. I use the word good loosely because I would never buy one of these on purpose but now I'm sorta stuck with it. I've been prowling craigslist looking for more Razrs to buy, hoping to get a good deal on one I can fix that isnt a V3r and has a memory slot. Hubby has the Miami Ink PINK V3t (his punishment for losing a brand new black Miami Ink Razr that cost me $125) that I've not been allowed to mess with. He even hides it when he gets home from work lol. Stupid man. He knows I'll hack the crap out of it if I get half a chance.
So anyway, what I'm searching for is a program to decompile some MPs that I currently have saved. Anyone?
