how do i activate a 3gs phone in 3.1.3 / 5.12 baseband that's stuck in the emergency call screen? i am hoping someone can provide some clarity as to how it's done now with the new apple/itunes restrictions.
Hi I am from Australia with the plan to visit America. I am hoping to do a hike for some months with friends.
I have been told that i can use my iphone 3G on the journey but i will need to organise a sim card in America to then have access to phone and internet which I need to check on my small web biz.
From there I have been told that the iphones have a habit of locking up but I can stop this.
This is a whole new planet for me so if you can shed some light on this I would appreciate it.
Or am i better off buying a cheap phone and internet deal while im in the US?
I will be there for around 4 months - apparently the trail we are doing allows about 70% coverage.
Really appreciate any ideas or help you can offer.
