Not quite as sweet as originally posted here on Howard Forums ... the tiers start at $65 and not $15 ... but it shows a MAJOR (in magnitudes!) downward movement in data pricing for those planning to use Gigs of mobile data ... now if you want less data the price curve is extremely steep. And here is the best part, if you use "tethered" or a "non-Rogers" phone or app... the charge is 5 cents per KILObyte (Thatz $50/Meg folks). Yep we've set a new record in Canadian Telecom, the same commodity service varies in price from 3 cents to $50! A 1666.666 to 1 ratio.

wtf, are you kidding? Those don't look right. It looks like they're in the middle of updating the website and that is not the entire picture.
I spoke with Retentions earlier and he said they've been notified of new data plans for the next quarter and they have a meeting tomorrow (Thursday) to review them. I'm calling back tomorrow night to see what they know.
yea those are older plans, have been out for a bit now. not the 'new' ones we are waiting for.Originally Posted by nodial9

well first things first. the 7$ unlim plan is not supposed to be used on the touch. that is a PDA and it clearly states that the unlim plan is for reg-phone only. You could be in a world of trouble come bill time if they charge u 5c per KB.Originally Posted by kutkilla
Correct me if I'm wrong but the HTC touch does not use WAP and once IMEI filtering starts (likely already has) you're going to start receiving data bills at $0.05/kb or $55/mb. April bill should start showing those rates. Be careful.
u bet!Originally Posted by RASHID007

I used about 14 mgs in March and didnt get charged for it. I will be seing April. Called customer service on a couple of occasions and they said I can use unlimited internet on my touch. I'll call again to confirm need to discuss the web-billing problems anyways...... again
Hmmm...if you can use the unlimited $7 WAP plan on the Touch, I might need to grab one of those for my second line...

but O_ssie doesnt seem to have anything up to date. When was the last time he even edited that post??
I really just wish that he could post here and tell us whether anything at all was approved, or maybe whether or not we'd like what was approved. Or it would even be good if he could just tell us whether we'll see anything new in the next month or so - or if the 25th is still the release date.
Oh well. It's great that he was able to tell us about the pitch at all.
