Yes attachements are included.

Then would it be for Internet use? BB Maps? etc..

No internet usage is not included. But there are ways around it which you can read about here.

I use my Berry for data only, no voice. I'm willing to sign a contract to get my bill down to $15 a month, but will they pull their minimum $75 voice/data crap on me?

Yeah unless otherwise stated. The current personal email plan needs voice but business email plans can be added without voice.

No, that would mean that you would use the builtin email clients and POP3 (or whatever) on your WM or BB phones. Using the browser to get to your webmail (gmail, yahoo, hotmail) would result in charges. So, you would use gmails POP3 service and let the phone do the rest.

I've been assuming the "WM" category would include my PalmOS Treo, but I guess you never know. Anyone know if "WM" is just a marketing term, or do they really mean it?

Bunk. I used it while mobile for many months.

It works fine while driving, but the pass-offs from tower to tower can sometimes drop the signal for a few seconds. No biggie.

Although this should be split off into a separate topic, I do often wonder why wireless data on the Rogers Portable side is $45 for 30 gigs, but wireless data on the cellular side is $65 for 1 gig.

Yes, yes...one is quasi-WiMax, and the other cellular data, but if you look at it in simplistic terms - data is going from a device to the tower - it's pretty much the same thing, with some technical differences. At the tower level I very much doubt that the data doesn't share the same connection to the internet regardless if it came from a laptop using the Portable Internet modem, or a PC card on the cellular side - it all very likely travels in the same pipe to the WWW.

Difference is TDMA (for EDGE/GPRS) and CDMA (for UMTS/HSDPA) versus OFDM(A) for the WiMAX-like technology Rogers and Bell use for their Innukshuk network. OFDMA is a much, much more spectrally efficient air interface method.

Sure the cost difference isn't as high as Rogers is making it out to be with the price differences, but there are significant differences between the air interface technologies.

If this is true, this is VERY good news. I currently pay $65 for the 1 GB plan but I usually use around 20 MB a month. That means that, with the value pack discount, I can get away with paying $10/month for 20 MB, a $55 savings!

I must say, I am pleased with this change. It's clear that Rogers is FINALLY getting serious about data.

1. Plans will be rolling out one week later than expected: March 25th. As usual, all training materials will be released to dealers and agents one week prior to the official release.

2. The Blackberry Flex plan and the WM flex plan will now include unlimited messenger + personal email (Rogers Yahoo!, Yahoo Mail!, Google gmail, MSN, Hotmail, AOL, or POP3/IMAP account through your Internet Service Provider)

3. $20 Comm Pack Conflict / When these new plans come into affect, customers will have the choice of adding either "$20 Comm Pack with unlim WAP" (what we have now) OR "$20 Comm Pack with no DATA". This plan will not be advertised to the general public but dealers and reps will be educated on this. If a customer already has the $20 Comm Pack and then wants to add-on the Blackberry Flex Plan, the rep will have to replace the current $20 comm pack with the new '$20 comm pack with no data' package and then add on the bb flex plan. They have to advise the customer of proration & that they are 'disabling the Unlim WAP portion of the package'

4. The two flex plans described in the first post have a 3 yr data commitment associated to them with no exceptions. (Data Cancellation Fee = Data ECF= DECF= $5/month for remaining months to a max of $100 and a min of $25) This however will not affect your voice commitment.

ex. You have 3 months left on you voice commitment and want to get the BB Flex Plan. 6 months down the line you port your number to another provider. your total cancellation fees would amount to $100+tax ($0 Voice + $100 Data)

This is also applies for data-only customers

5. The overages of $0.03/MB and $0.05/MB described in the first post is only if you go over the final tier.
Example, You have the BB Flex plan and you use 10.001MB - You would be charged $30 - no threshold
