Rogers was supposed to Revamp Blackberry & WM Data plans, on hold indefinately

Not to get too off topic here but I have noticed on this forum the LACK of sympathy for us new people who are just getting into the whole wireless forum talk....

I belong to a couple other forums (unrelated to wireless) and the people there are waaaay more accommodating/helpful/understanding to new people who have a lot of questions and sometimes don't use the search button as much as they should....

Just something I noticed since joining this forum...

Yeah, don't take it to heart. There is just so much talk surrounding Rogers' data rates people get frustrated quickly. We're not as mean as we type (or dictate, depending on your situation).

Out of Curiousity,

How would Rogers distinguish mail and messenger data use from regular browsing on WM devices?

Since the flex plan has tier system, how can a normal user keep track of their data usage separately. ie. one portion for email and IM only (this portion is unlimited), and the other portion (include browsing) (which is not unlimited) on the device?

It's not just this forum, for every forum, there're couple topics which show up couple times a week, and it can be found by a simple clicks, but people just don't bother to search. People who have been on the forum long have seen these repeated thread showing up over and over and over and over again, and get really frustrated. e.g. iphone and data on this forum, quality of ebay projectors on other car forums.

Well, from what I recall, Ossie and his team are PITCHING it today. Who knows whether they will get any feedback today!

yea. we may not get any feedback today other than a report from o_ssie on what the feel of the meeting was. whether it was a good meeting or not could help show where rogers is going with these plans.

non the less, I still think that if rogers flat out rejects these ideas, that is their last chance and they will be really showing their stance in continuing to give it to their customers behind's and not competing what so ever in the data market place.

well if that happens..then there will be a lot of people leaving as we are really sick and tired of waiting..
