    Video Media Player

PLaying movies on ur ENV....I want to know if there is a better media player because fast forwarding through movies is so cumbersome. OR is there a better way to fast forward or cancel calls until the movie is over. Because if you get a call during the movie...duh...you have to start over..!!!!

The music player is what it is. I suggest breaking the chapters of your DVD into seperate files. That way if you only have to fast forward through a chapter instead of the whole movie.

You can either turn the phone onto standalone mode in the phone settings or onto music only mode in the actual media player. I don't think there's a difference...

You can use different programs for that, like SUPER. There are a number of video threads (some dedicated to the LG enV) either here in the main LG forum and more specifically in the VZW LG sub-forum that should be of quite a bit of help when it comes to all of this.

Also the two different ways are (you can use whichever is easier for you):
    1. Music only mode: Menu>Get It Now>1. Music and Tones>Mode>Music Only.
    2. Standalone mode: Menu>Settings and Tools>5. Phone Settings>1. Standalone Mode.
Keep in mind that these modes will turn off all signals and communications to your phone. You won't receive texts until after you turn the mode back on, and you won't receive notification of calls at all, but you will be notified of voicemail.

I don't think you'd be notified of voicemails either, at least not on the phone, as that would require a connection to the network, which you shouldn't have in those modes (or at the very least in the standalone mode).

What I meant was that you'd be notified of voice and text after the standalone mode was turned off, but you wouldn't be notified of calls missed, just like having your phone turned off.

Ah, yeah, that would be correct.
