There is a great site called www.youmail.com You can set it up to have certain callers get certain greetings. I use it an love it. For people that I don't want to talk to, I have a greeting that says the number is not in service. I've even personalized greetings for people.
The YouMail is interesting, but I'm concerned because I really like Visual Voicemail. I can't find a way to discontinue the forwarding that they walked me through, though I don't want to completely discontinue the service, Hypnospastic, can you lend any help here?

Well, it took me a hot minute but I finally found it. It was hidden under the topic; "I had messages left on my old voicemail system - how do I retrieve them?" Here you go!
Directly dial the phone number of the old voice mail service from your cell phone. You will be connected to your old voice mail system. If you do not have your former voicemail number, please locate your provider in the list below and follow the instructions:
T-Mobile Users:
From your cell phone dial (805)637-7243
Nextel Users:
From your cell phone dial your area code and prefix then 6245.
For example, if your cell phone number is (555)456-5555 you would dial (555)456-6245
AT&T Users:
1. From your cell phone dial ##004# and press SEND to disable your call forwarding
2. Dial your own cell phone number to access your carrier voicemails.
3. Dial *004*17142043114# and press SEND to enable your call forwarding again when you are finished.
Verizon Users:
1. From your cell phone dial *73 and press SEND to disable your call forwarding (you will hear a series of beep and it will disconnect).
2. Dial your own cell phone number to access your carrier voicemails.
3. Dial *7117142043114 and press SEND to enable your call forwarding again when you are finished.
I do miss the visual voicemail feature but this not only gets people to stop calling that you want to stop calling but has a WOW! effect when people call and they have their own greeting. My friends enjoy it!

I've been using YouMail for a long time now. I also use it as my visual voicemail. I'm able to see who leaves a voice message via email. Get the MP3 sent to your inbox and you can listen to the voice message from there.

Wow, that would be perfect. So everymail would leave a Visual Voicemail? Does it include the caller information like Visual Voicemail does now? I mean, is this an automatic thing to send the message file to your phone, so youca view it as Visual Voicemail? Also, are there directions on how to set this portion up?
Sorry for so many questions, but Visual Voicemail is a major feature for me, though I really like what YouMail offers and if I can incorporate the two, it's the best of both worlds.
post the number and we call can prank call him in the middle of the night.
practice on this one +63 917 806xxxx > I receive quotes at 4:00AM waking up the whole family since we all sleep in one room. I've appealed several times but to no avail.

I know with VZW there is a spot on their website via your log in that allows to block calls for 90 days then they have to be re-added(contrary to what someone on another forum had said)
Is there any way through ATT to do this? I have someone who texted me by accident, then apparently decided it would be fun to torment someone he'd never met. I can't set a silent ringtone to a specific person/number for SMS, and I don't have unlimited text. I keep meaning to ask at the store when I go in to pay my bill but they're always super busy. He's not doing nearly as much lately but I still get something every few days and I'd just as soon never hear from this guy again.
AT&T does have a service called Smart Limits - not free, think it's 5 per month. You can use it to block calls as well as SMS. I've never used it, a friend of mine had a problem with someone texting his daughter, said it worked great for them.
