I'm going to be plastering those instructions all over the internet. It's already become Viral, they've got to fix this issue rather than play the blame game.
Go Howard!

wonder if this will turn into one of those "epic" threads? i don't think we had one of those in all the years i've been here.
Hey Howard, you might want to point those clowns to this article. Maybe they will get a clue.![]()

Bank Julius Baer Drops Lawsuit Against Wikileaks
from the well-that-was-productive dept
The Swiss firm Bank Julius Baer learned all about the Streisand Effect last week, after somehow convincing a judge to force Wikileaks offline for hosting a document that they objected to (most likely because it alleged corruption and fraud on the part of the bank). However, in forcing the entire site offline, the whole thing got a lot more attention, raising free speech concerns, and the judge eventually put the site back online. While the bank claims that it never intended to have the whole site shut down, people pointed out that it certainly didn't rush to court to tell the judge to leave it up. Well, now that Wikileaks and the specific documents in question have been all over the news (as opposed to before, when almost no one knew they existed), Bank Julius Baer, tail between its legs, has dropped the lawsuit against Wikileaks. One more lesson for overly aggressive lawyers to think about the consequences of certain actions, rather than just launching lawsuits because they can.
Thanks to They Symbian-Guru for his support!!

More epic then the iPhone price drop thread? (It spanned two threads, the first one locked after so many posts, forget the actual number...)Originally Posted by BeaverLiquor
I see this turning into a publicity nightmare for MobiTV (like the above did for Steve-O).

when i say epic i mean a thread that spreads over the interwebs, plus its apple they don't count. there used to be a game forum here where threads got up to 5000 posts, so yeah internal threads don't count either.Originally Posted by blackraven

Once you experience an unbranded phone, you'll never want a branded one again.
I have actually been paying for MobiTV due to the fact there is no unlimited data plans available on Fido. But now I'm cancelling it. Screw those whiney idiots!
WE'RE ALL BEHIND YOU HOWARD!
FIDO $56 Smart Plan: Unlimited nationwide talk, global messaging, 2GB data w/ BIS and LTE, value pack
WIND $40 Wish Plan: Unlimited nationwide talk, global messaging, unlimited data w/ BIS, call control
All my posts are my own opinion only and not necessarily that of any of my employers, past or present.
This is Massonite. I got banned the other day for something absolutely stupid, and then it was extended further simply for exercising my freedom of expression. So I decided to create a new username so I could get something off my chest regarding this whole MobiTV pinch fight. I don't care if I get permanently banned over it, I'm fed up with the BS that is HowardForums.
I find it very funny, yet pathetic that everyone is sympathizing with this website over this issue. The fact is, all they had to do is delete the links. I know someone who was banned for posting links to movies, and the threads deleted. Why? Copyright infringement. Same as this one.
People also get banned in a heartbeat around here just for saying something like a$$ or some other creative way of spelling a curse word. Oh no, circumventing a swear filter! What happened to the freedom of expression that you're whining about over this MobiTV issue? Doesn't work both ways? Does it only count if it works in your favour? You're going to put up a thread crying about a cease and desist order just because you're too stubborn to delete a link that you shouldn't even have up anyway? Yet you'll ban me for saying a bad word, or others for posting similar links? Does anyone else see a double standard here?
So go ahead and ban me for life. I don't care anymore. You'll just be proving once again that as long as it's you behind the 8 ball, freedom of expression stands tall and proud and everything is ok, but if anyone else expresses that same freedom, you come down on them like that same freedom does not exist.
And no, I'm not going to Digg it. Digg this.
The Funny thing is that, since you have been banned, you no longer have a say on our forums... So subsequently your little post will be deleted and you will be banned again, or maybe ISP banned... you lose.Originally Posted by MobiTVFTW

Instead of MobiTV going apeshit on people hosting the links, fix it themselves and secure it.
Would you want to use a bank that stores your money underneath the bench at the park?
