HTC Advantage won't ring

I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix my problem. I'm using my phone on the Fido network and when I'm connected via gprs my ringer won't ring at all. When I'm not connected, it takes 10 - 15 seconds before it starts ringing on my phone.

Phone will not ring when connected to data gprs no way around it it is a limitaiton and not just to the Advantage it affects TyTn etc. if you are using 3g it is possible something to do with the way 3g works

Thanks Marka... It makes sense that it wouldn't ring. I think the fact that I was still getting sms threw me off. As for the ringing delay I'll just have to learn to live with it.

I have my 7501 on Rogers 3G and I noticed the delay also
but it always rings.

Me too. My X7500 with WM6 on Rogers rings as well. If data is being transferred, sometimes there is a delay but if the webpage is "static" it usually rings right away.
