Does anyone know if there is a corp. discount for working at RadioShack? I know there are dealer plans available, however, that wouldn't work for me since I would be bringing two lines to T-Mobile. Anyone have any info. by chance? Thanks.

Anyone know the discount for Rite Aid employees? Thinking about making the switch from ATT due to the new unlimited plans T-Mo is offering... Currently getting 19% with ATT.

T-Mobile generally isn't allowing discounts on top of their unlimited plans..

I searched the thread and only found one reference to an education discount-someone searching for how to do it for a New York university.

Does anyone know if there's a general education discount on plans, and how I'd get it?

Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T all have one (18% for Verizon for us, and similar for the other two). (Unfortunately only AT&T lets you actually get it easily over the web, versus having to talk to someone in store.)

Wow, thanks marnis01! That's the first I'd heard of that Studentrate.com. I'm always iffy about signing up for stuff like that (and wish T-Mobile just handled this themselves), but that would make T-Mobile cheaper for me than Sprint/AT&T/Verizon!

What a joke. I called in tmobile today to apply my College Student Discount.

They told me that most California State University's only offer a 6% discount. I don't understand. A couple of months ago the discount was 15%.

From a $60 750 family plan that means I only get $3.60 off versus getting $9 off with a 15%.

I am glad I am canceling next month
Girls are like phones. They like to be held, and talked too but if you press the wrong button you'll get disconnected!!!

Cal-State does get 15% try a different store. Tell them VZW is giving you 15% and you'd like for them to match it.

So should I call in again tomorrow to ask.

Because when I was calling I could barely hear the person speak. I called the migration depart 4 different times and the voice quality was not good. Plus the lady did not speak perfect english. Do you think I got tricked into accepting a lesser rate?

Also do you have proof that the Cal State University discount as of December 2009 is still 15%?

Also is there a fee for accepting a discount on your service like how ATT(greedy) charges $36 to apply discounts to their service?
    Thank you.

Go into a local corp store, don't do it over phone. Be honest; Print out your college schedual, bring your ID card, and go to a store, tell them VZW or whatever told you that they would give 15% and you would like them to match. That is how I got mine added from a private school. This was back in May, though, dont know if they changed policy, but its worth a try.

No, T-Mo does not charge a $36 penalty for adding a discount like AT$T
