nice work, but not quite 'definitive'
the particulars of this 'proper setup' should find its way onto here to make it more complete.Originally Posted by sem pai

Notice a pattern in my preference in phones? LOL
is this why i have to set "use GPRS" to NO for inbox setup on my v635 for AIM to connect? will this affect message types other than SMS/AIM and will it increase the likelihood of a CSD connection?Originally Posted by mingkee
My sister got T-Mobile to Go, was told she had unlimited free T-Zones with her plan. She got the 1000 minute $100 plan, good for a year. Is this true?

she wont need THAT many minutes to call the hubby. Tmobile-2-Tmobile calls are free.
Yea, on postpaid, not prepaid. It might have been better to get a family plan, unless no one talks that much.Originally Posted by muevelonyc

T-Zone
As of now, November 2005, T-zone is no longer offered by T-mobile.
Instead, it became T-mobile Web, a feature costs $5.99/month that offer unlimited access to the much-expanded T-zone sites.
My handset can access major websites with this new service.
Follow this link to setup your handset for T-mobile web:

MMS
This feature costs $4.99/month which include 400 messages (text message, picture message, video message ... any kind of MMS message)
You can try to call 611 or tech support on your T-mobile handset. The rep can help you if they have the instruction for your particular handset (believe me, they cover MANY types of handsets)
Importantly, you must setup T-mobile Web or GPRS in addition to the MMS setting in order to use the MMS feature. Setting the MMS alone won't help.

I am using an unlocked Treo 650 and would like to use the $5.99 ($4.99?) internet plan. Can I use with my phone? I don't need the rest of the things I would get for $39.99 (data plan) and I can't afford it anyway. It would be nice to be able to check my email, though.![]()
You can get your Laptop working with T-Zones perfectly fine.
This site shows you how as long as you simply find out how to connect your phone to your laptop and start the "EDGE" or "GPRS" session.
after the real settings are done on your laptop.

P.S. I'm on it right now with my Sony GC83 Unlocked (they explain how to do that too)
Way back in early 2005 I was able to get settings so that could get full internet access with just TMO's $4.99 t-zone plan and not have to pay the full internet $19.99 plan.
I recently swapped phones and think I lost some of the hack settings. I can still surf and downloan POP3 mail but can't send out. Default port is 25....i think it has to be changed to 8080? Can someone reconfirm this?
And darn, forgot how to change settings. Can someone outline the steps?
Thanks
I am too lost with GPRS settings. Perhaps someone has a simple guide what needs to be done on the phone in order to be able to browse html sites with the $5.99 plan??Originally Posted by dmao

Unless I missed something, there are no instructions for treo .....Originally Posted by thedamian
