It better be out of this world.
The competition will be tough, the 3G IPhone, all the Google Android phones and whatever LG comes up with to trump their Voyager.
An open Java interface would be a step in the right direction.
manand I just left Helio and got an iPhone, looks like I'll be leavin at&t soon!
im ready to see a acuall pic of the thing but yeah helio is far behind on the inovative style of phones
Helio was the first to do the dual slider, LG just ripped it off. LG is an awesome company, but all their best designs are copies.
My Ocean 1 is kind of the perfect phone for me. Not too small, a qwerty (I like touchscreens, but for texting, I would rather have qwerty), gmail and all that. I'd check out the Ocean 2 in a heartbeat.
As far as cell phone devices themselves go... I really love the design/interface of the iPhone the most out of all the current phones out there. The only changes I would make to it are adding dedicated send/end buttons to the front bottom of the phone, and also adding a slide-out QWERTY keypad. The iPhone is already super-thin... I don't think it'd be a huge deal even if they made it twice the current thickness and added a QWERTY keypad. Oh, and also if they added 3G it would be perfect.
I think that if the Ocean 2 could shoot for something like that, then I would definitely switch back over to Helio. As far as the phone service goes, I thought that Helio was the best out of any that I've used. All of the features that you get are awesome. They just need to catch back up, as far as their devices are concerned. The Mysto and Fin are a step in the right direction... but they could have done better. I still have high hopes for Helio.![]()

what he said
Helio employees don't know what's different. The upper management won't spill details usually a week or 2 before release.
Hi2u
don't know if it means anything, but the FCC documents show a letter dated 3/17/08 that requests 45 days of confidentiality.Originally Posted by incubi
they probably did that because they are trying to make it thinner, which would be a GOOD moveOriginally Posted by kschumannjr

at the expense of usability. not good imo, just poor design.Originally Posted by dmichelr

wahhh! people are being mean to me on the internets!
I like the MicroSD under the battery, yeah it sucks when you want to change it, but it makes the phone look so much cleaner (like Mysto) when you don't have that big old ugly door flap.
This comment takes the award for the most ridiculous display of pandering to Helio so far in this thread. Congratulations.Originally Posted by justin_b

If you truly prefer a hidden sd solution you would have suggested the method which HTC employs on the Touch, where the card slot is under the battery cover but not the battery. Hidden and still accessible.
well, to each his own, it doesn't bother me cause i never remove mine anyways.......guess i am just in favor of anything that might make the next ocean less like a brick.....
