While I'm sure the extra battery life is greatly appreciated, does anyone think the extended battery ruins the Dash's slim lines?
    How does it affect pocketability?

I think RealAct just wrote my post for me!
I got mine the same day from an eBay vendor, and while loving the battery life, the cover is just not going to long term work. However, I remember reading (here or somewhere else?) that it just needs a wedge, like a folded up business card, under the cover to hold tight.

You are right, I folded up a piece of thick paper and put it between the cover and the battery itself and that fixed it, thanks a lot!

I got mine in the mail tuesday. After a couple nights of use its clearly better than the old oem batteries. Overclocked, Streaming sirius radio for about 6 hours + a lot of web surfing and IMs via palringo was enough to kill the battery in the first test I put it through. I was lucky to get 1 hour out of each of the standard batteries (they are old.)

Hopefully Ill get some time this weekend to do some more testing with it.

The cover is a little loose for me too, and the bottom has a slight lip where the cover is just a bit long but its barely noticeable. Its just a shade off from the black of the phone but the texture feels fine. Can't complain for the price.

By the way the battery is produced by Cameron Sino whom I have seen good reviews for other products made by them.

I ordered the battery as well on ebay and it's been 3.5 weeks without anything yet. Does anyone think there's a chance that they just didn't send it and I'm out the 27 bucks? I've heard people say its been upwards of 4 weeks so i'll keep waiting, but is there any way to check ebay to see if they've sent it or anything?

FWIW, I odered a 2400 mAh Lithium-Ion-Polymer replacement battery from here:

    http://www.pocketpctechs.com/main~un...rid~384682.htm

Received it within one week and I have been using it since. Battery life has GREATLY increased and the extra size did not affect the case I was using.

IMHO, it was an excellent investment as the stock battery did not give me enough time (I travel around the world and the extra battery capacity is important especially when cell sites are far away and the phone needs to run in high power mode).

    Cases

I ordered one of the extended batteries from Ebay yesterday. Do you guys/gals use any other cases with any of the extended batteries? I have been using the stock case with the stock battery.

I use my same after market case which is just a little bit thicker than the stock T-Mobile DASH case. The phone fits a bit more snugly but I have no problems getting it in or out. I opted for this case as I wanted my DASH (now HTC S620 w/WM6.1) to be sideways.

For those that bought from HK, does the label look the same?

Hmm. that's around $28 shipped from HK while I bought mine for around $70 from a U.S. source (see my earlier post). It might be worth the wait and any possible "risk".

As for the battery, the picture does not look like what I had purchased. Check my link (earlier message) and you will see a picture of the battery.

The eBay link I posted shows the item located in Saint Paul, MN:

FWIW, although I paid $69 for mine (see earlier message), both the battery and the cover fit perfectly. The cover's texture matches the original one and the battery life is great. "Upgrading" my DASH with WM 6.1 Kavana and the addition of this battery has "created" a brand new phone for me which seems to perform much better than the stock DASH.

Maybe your experience highlights the saying: "You get what you pay for"?

I ordered one from Smavtronics 07 July, It arrived to my apartment in Brooklyn, NY on Friday the 11th. I didn't like the way the cover "felt" in the beginning. it didn't feel like it was locking in place. However i have been trying MANY different homescreens and trial software(thank goodness for sprite backup ) . Some have frozen the dash 6.1. I noticed that whenever I take the cover off to reboot, there is always a click. Mine does fit. I tried out Battery Pack Pro and it didn't seem to agree with the phone, so i can't tell you the hours left after a full charge. I can give you my experience so far.

I charged the phone w/new battery before I went out Friday night at 9PM. I didn't charge the phone again until Saturday morning about 10am. It had 1 bar at that point. Between those hours I had used my BT headset frequently during the night and browsed the web frequently. I also used Newsbreak and Aquaball whenever I got a little bored. I never turned the phone off or the bluetooth. I used the wireless once for less than 15min. About 0730 I left the 14st Union Square area and drove to Elmont, LI. I was going to plug the Dash in to the car charger, BUT, I never bothered taking the Freedom 2000's (F2K) charger out of my apartment, so when I turned on the F2K, it started blinking red! It needed to charge. I have never driven to LI from downtown Manhattan, so i was using it with Mapquest Navigator. I used the Dash's charger in the BT receiver. I made it to Elmont approx 35min later. I exited Mapquest at that point amd turned of the F2K. I also dropped someone off in Jamaica, Queens and thats when I remembered to plug the Dash in about 10am. The OEM battery would have quit LONG before that. So far I'm very satisfied.
I don't know who makes the 2400 maH that Flashfox has. CameronSino is a chinese company and their extended battery is the 2200mAh that I have. The 2400 is sold by quite a few online retailers that are reliable and you can trust. Smavtronics and HK are selling the 2200. Since they chose NOT to replace gagnu's cover, I'm sure they have lost some sales in here. I hope they see this thread and make good on gagnu's shipping.
Some bad pics of the new battery taken with my dash.

The distributor covered-up the OEM markings so all I can post is the following:

    Dist.: PPCTechs.com
    Model: EXCAE-24M
    CoO: Made in China
    Cert.: CE Certified
Seal: PPTC Warranty seal over the label.

As for performance, I agree that having this capacity has given an extra lease on life to this smartphone, well at least until the U.S. version of HTC Diamond appears
