Ok, so theres been a lot of people asking how to flash with XS++, I see a lot of blog links and what not, and theres been demand for a tutorial as a post... I have screenshots of every step, so here goes.
DISCLAIMER: I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR BRICKED/MESSED UP PHONES
!!!!Start off by turning off your phone, removing the battery and sticking it back in.
Step 1: Open up XS++ and press connect
Step 2: Hold C on your phone and connect the USB cable
Step 3: Press the GDFS button, and press Backup GDFS
THIS STEP IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT INCASE THINGS GO BAD
After it says Backup GDFS complete, unplug the phone, remove and reinsert the battery
Step 4: Repeat Steps 1 and 2
Step 5: Check flash main firmware and flash file system,
navigate to your MAIN firmware file and put it under the main box
naivgate to your FS firmware file and put it under the file system box
check customize firmware, select your phone model, and the region that matches the FS that you have downloaded
Step 5 alternative: IF YOU DO NOT FIND YOUR REGION/PHONE
- you MUST download a custpack file... usually a .zip
- extract this into XS++/own_custpack such that it is XS++/own_custpack/tpa/....
- select /own_custpack under phone model
Step 6: Hit Flash and wait for it to complete... it will tell you when you can disconnect the phone....
These are all the firmwares I have collected, hope you find good use out of it, if you have firmwares I don't have, please contribute the FS/MAIN/Custpack, I'm mainly looking for HK firwmares I don't have...
1. If you are flashing DB2020 and XS++ asks you to upgrade to CID52, say yes
2. BACKUP YOUR CONTACTS/ANYTHING ELSE BEFORE DOING THIS, your entire phone will have no traces of you left on it
Thanks for the tutorial. I have a w580i and followed the instructions and it said the flash was successful. When I turned the phone on, I got this msg: "configuration error. Please contact network operator."
I'm not sure if I made a mistake on this instruction line:

OK, so if you download the XS++ I provided:
Extract that into a folder called XS++
then make a folder called own_custpack inside XS++ such that its C:/XS++/own_custpack/
Now, if you've downloaded one of the custpacks, you will see that inside the custpack, there is a folder called "tpa"
just put tpa in the folder called own_custpack
Now go back into XS++, connect your phone, and ONLY check the customize box, and check the phone model to own_custpack... you do not need to reflash the main or FS
Make sure the CID's match with where it says RED49, so CID49
You extract the FS, and put it where it says file system, and you extract main and put it where it says main...
.
Then you extract the CDA102494_5_HONG_KONG.zip into own_custpack, or you can simply just select W810 and region: HONG KONG in XS++, makes no diff
