Getting the Stubborn AllTel phone to work on Verizon's System

I have an AllTel V3c that I have flashed with the generic monster fw. I was hoping that it would solve my roaming problem, by yesterday I went to NY. As soon as I cross the border from CT the phone went into extended service mode (the flashing triangle). Comparing the details between it and my "verizon" v3c. The only differences that I see is this

    VZW AT
    ERI 4 0
    Channel 850/1900 800/1900
    Network Automatic A Automatic

Are any of these things a cause of the issue? Can they be changed?

Did you upload the VZW PRL? It might still be on the Alltel PRL. Since Alltel service is offered in Connecticut (I would guess), it is not roaming in Connecticut. However, when you take it into New York, it is roaming. You need to get a Verizon PRL on there.

Yes. The PRL is exactly the same as the VRZ phone. It is something else. Very frustrating

Try Automatic B, that is the default for VZW.
