The MP will not enable the feature for an AT&T phone if that is what you are getting at. From what I know, there isn't a way to edit the external functions (yet). The HK and Euro versions of the V9 offer Picture, Music, and Video shortcuts on the outside of the phone. I anxiously await an edit because I don't really see video having a purpose since I don't take videos.

Motorola better get their act together. Someone in another thread suggested that they rushed the U.S. version out and later, when they perfected the software, they released the Euro and HK version. I don't think that's the case. I think Motorola was doing what a lot of manufactures do, diversification. And I think at&t signed an exclusive with Motorola in the U.S. for the V9, just like they did with Apple and the iphone. That's why you can't even get the V9 in Black directly from Motorola. The mahogany sucks. That's what's killing their sales too. It's like putting out a nice sports car in pink or purple.

Except every carrier has a Razr2, so there is no exclusive agreement between at&t and motorola. You can blame at&t for the color, but I think motorola is the one to blame for the functionality, unless at&t had plans to put out a successor earlier in the year.

Well as far as the external screen functions(and other missing features) I beleive at&t was to blame because they just wanted to quickly slap their carrier branded software on it.
