originally i had R452F1 t-mobile branded and unlocked i wanted to unbrand the phone and also input web session icon the guy who gave me the link on this forum told me that it was unbranded. It seems to have unbranded the phone but it is requesting the subsidy password. When i start the phone up there is no cpmpany logo with the start up. There use to be before
Anyway i flashed with the same firmware, which seems to be unbranded
The phone was unlocked before, i live in the Caribbean and i used it there, my boss used it in china and the us also.
Anyway can anyone help me there.
Sounds like Motorola 101 - debranded (ie, unbranded) does NOT equal unlocked!!!
Also, the general rule is that if you flash LOCKED firmware to an unlocked phone, you end up with a LOCKED PHONE. Flashing UNLOCKED firmware to a locked phone will result in a LOCKED PHONE.
Search is your friend, this isn't the first time this has been discussed.

One way or another they have access to either A) Manufacturer Database B) Carrier's DB, or C) an Algorithim for the phone manufacturer.
Primarily B followed by A.
The Algorithim's are becoming very difficult to break as there is more than the IMEI involved in creating them now. (Reference to the old Nokia unlocking days).

You live in the Caribbean and your boss lives in China (or does he live in the Caribbean too), I gotta ask what type of work do you do for a living?
From what I've been able to glean from a variety of forums, it appears that the Motorola subsidy code is randomly generated and then assigned to a phone at the timeof manufacture. The generation of the code is not based upon any algorithm which uses the phone's IMEI as a factor. It is only recorded in a database against the IMEI.
Some individuals have access to Motorola's servers (at what cost, I wonder??) and are able to retrieve the subsidy code from the database. They can then sell it for profit to us lesser mortals.

We are in jewellery wholesale, and he lives in the US. Anyway so i guess that the firmware that i flashed with was locked. And it may seem that if i flash with a unlocked firmware now it will become locked.

If it becomes locked again, just use your unlock code and it will be unlocked again.
They pay hefty to have software and access to Motorola data base, was $2000 4 years ago. The codes is insert in when each fone is made all it need is s flex form a carrier to activating it.
This Motorola base was broke in once 4 years ago for about 6 months or so but then they seal it up and all links to it was remove!!!
If it's lock, I can unlock it
If you brick it , I can fix it
