    Sidekick Lx Repair

Okay, I've had this phone for about 4 months, yesterday it was working perfectly, then all of a sudden the trackball doesn't select, the x or the enter key doesn't work, basically the right bottons are now a no go.

I called T-Mobile, they said based on the evidence on the phone(the lil white dot turning red under the screen above the #3) my phone has been exposed to water.

Now thinking back the ONLY way this could have happened was when I washed my hands and used my phone, but I doubt my hand was that soaking wet, are you telling me that a $400.00 phone is THAT daggone flimsy?

What are my repair options, as Tmobile said water damage, however minimal, voids my warranty and they dont offer repair for it.

    Help, thanks.

Nevermind... while I wouldn't suggest it to anyone, I took the sucker apart using this site... http://www.instructables.com/id/Side...X-Disassembly/ cleaned what I could on it, almost melted the board using a hair dryer...then keeping my fingers crossed I put it back together and not its working again... Lets see how long this lasts.
