I think peoples expectations are just too high. I mean this is only 1 plan we are talking about here right? Obviously other plans will come and go, but for this one plan all they did is give you 5 times the data for the same price. Seriously why would anyone complain about getting 5 times more for the same price? Also keep in mind this is the absolute most expensive plan available we are talking about, this is not the plan for average users this is intended for the heavy users only.

Also for all the people TALKING about leaving, if you would do more than just talk then Rogers might have a reason to need to offer cheaper plans, but as it is they are doing what every responsible business Must do, they are maximizing profits WITHOUT losing customers.

Thats why I'm asking if anyone knows how much the CURRENT 200mb plan will drop to. I could get get by on 200mb but wouldn't pay $100 for it, so if you know the rate change please do share

Also you are right peoples expectations are high we all want unlim but in reality alot of us don't need it, I think if the current 200mb plan drops to a decent rate ie; $20-30 alot of people would use it and could be happy with it at least BB users anyway, Winmo is another story.

Sorry I shouldn't have quoted you, I wasn't really talking to you, just in general.

I would be very surprised if they came out with a new plan that has 200 MB, they are just giving you 5 times more data on the old 200MB plan and charging you the same price.

Most (95%-98%) of BB users don't even need 200MB, and would be just fine with 50MB. Heck over half of BB users would be fine with 10MB. People just want UL for the piece of mind.

Bell also charges the same $100 for 1GB. And you can use the data for tethering as well, which is an absolute must for many of us.
    Line 1: (Mobilicity) BTS 25 on PAC - Unlimited local talk/text/data @ $23/month
    Line 2: (Wind) Irresistible35 - Unlimited everything @ $35/month
Line 3: (Wind) Holiday Miracle - Unlimited everything @ $40/month
Line 4: (Fido) Retention - Unlimited North America talk & text @ $50/month
Line 5: (Wind) All in the Family Laptop - Unlimited data @ $15/month

It is great that they are giving us 5x the data for the same price, but I think our concern is the price! I mean if we wanted/could afford to spend that much money ($100!!!) on data which is way more than most BB users need I'm sure it would be fine. It would be great to see decent prices for a capped amount of data -- like I would even pay $30 for 25mb... $60 is just way too much for what you are getting. This is what most people (at least I think) are frustrated about with Rogers. Seriously 40$ for 7mb :'( and $60 for 25mb. I fit into the about 25mb and I don't do much on my bb -- i rack it up using maps or something for fun, but I can cut that out!

Meh, time to jump on $15 e-mail till things getting better. I love GSM, tried telus, and it just didn't work so I will sacrifice!

You are exactly right my friend the cost(s) are just to much. We need to see some descent middle plans in the $30 range. It's just ridiculous how Rogers assumes anyone who wants to use data is a business customer who won't mind paying $60-100 dollars!!!! And really sad how all there new billboards sport the BB curve yet they offer no REAL plans for the everyday consumer to use. They need a serious wake up call. And it will come IF we get some forward thinking GSM competition after the auction. I can see new competitors setting up shop here and just joining the oligopoly though. Hard to have any faith in Canadian wireless. What the government should've done to promote competition is lift the forign ownership rules for the auction then things would get competitive. Sadly I don't foresee any real changes.

I would also like to note that it is about freakin' time they came up with a data-less "all-in" value pack! We needed that about a year ago!

So it looks like they will be bgetting rid of the $65 1GB plan, I wonder if it's wise to jump on it now? I have the 3 months unlimited data promo, that ends in July. What would be the best thing to do?

    Thanks in advance
