Also, why are they tagging that as a BB/WM plan with the only addition being more MMS?
Anyone who has a data plan isn't allowed to add the $20 Communicate Value pack. It includes "On Device Mobile Browsing". It would be like having 2 data plans on your account, and it would confuse the hell out of their systems.
So the $15 BB/WM plan allows people with a data plan to have all the features of the $20 Communicate Values pack except the Unlimited On Device Mobile Browsing.
PS, is any of this stuff coming to Fido as well? I dont think anything was said in this thread or the Fido forum on these changes. Id guess the Fido reps would have known by now of the changes if they were. Wondering......
I for one like the
$11 Value Pack
Caller ID
Enhanced Voicemail
Name Display
Who Called
Mobile Backup
125 Text Messages
It beats my current $12 Communication Pack, which holds Advanced VM, 125 sms, Caller ID.
I read some complaints in this thread between page 2 and 7 about unhappy campers regarding the new value packs.
From what I understand from the remarks is that Rogers can up the price on these plans, and your bill will go up according to the changes.
Is this right? You added a pack on for xx amount of dollars, and then some weeks down the road they change it to xy, will you be paying xy come your next bill? Or only when you make changes to your account/value packs will you be required to pay the xy?
--Edit--
On a side note, "mobile back-up" - what the heck is it? I'd check for myself, but right now the Rogers site seems to be down
That's the problem. Fido/Rogers raise the prices of anything outside your base voice plan and your contract doesn't protect you.
That's pretty scary when you consider most peoples options cost more than their base plan!
And on a side note, yeah I noticed Rogers.com, Fido.ca, and even Telus.com are all down at the moment. Strange.
Line 1: (Mobilicity) BTS 25 on PAC - Unlimited local talk/text/data @ $23/month Line 2: (Wind) Irresistible35 - Unlimited everything @ $35/month Line 3: (Wind) Holiday Miracle - Unlimited everything @ $40/month Line 4: (Fido) Retention - Unlimited North America talk & text @ $50/month Line 5: (Wind) All in the Family Laptop - Unlimited data @ $15/month
All my posts are my own opinion only and not necessarily that of any of my employers, past or present.
Rogers.com Consumer site is down, but they provide a link which takes you to the business section. Clearly the upgrades aren't on the business section which means no new $50 UL data since that's where data plans are!
